PLEASE REACT - SORROW PULSE!
you are so nice and you look like a School girlfriend that was killed by the brother of my best Friend.
I saw Pink Floyd Live 1986 in Hannover AND THERE ARE NO WORDS FOR THAT ! ;) how can I explain the 5.1 surround PA system or the cablecars with the flying pink Pig, planes, marrionets above us ?
that was 1983 :(
You'll find that with some groups, Pink Floyd, Alan Parsons Project, Supertramp, The Doobie Brothers, etc, etc., the lyrics are EVERYTHING.
That's not 'a' solo. That's THE solo, one of the finest bits of rock guitar work of all time.
Amen to that. It is sublime.
As I’ve said many times it may not be in a class by itself but it sure don’t take long to count the roll.
The Greatest Band of all time
My Band since 1973
I was in the audience the night this was recorded. I can't put into word how it sounded, looked and felt. David Gilmour plugs his guitar into your soul making every note an emotion. If you want to hear some amazing lyrics PLEASE listen to the song Time by Pink Floyd.
I am jealous of you. You were part of the greatest show on the planet.
@@noahpattar78 I Was so lucky to get tickets for this
According to the Internet multiple comments sections, a total of 4.5 million people have now claim that they were in the audience the night this was recorded, it’s amazing how many people were there 😅
You lucky bastard I'm Soo jealous lol Cheers 🤘😎🍻
I was at one of the nights at Earl's Court, don't know if it was the recorded one? How did you?
It is a masterpiece. One of the greatest rock songs ever written.
Gilmore's solo was the greatest ever laid down Period. Bar none. Drips with emotion that goes straight to the soul. The song, as well as the performance, is a masterpiece.
David Gilmore is the master of guitar solos, four octave bends
David Gilmour, Comfortably Numb live at Pompei 2016 should be a National Treasure his 2nd Solo in this......... not a word describes it. And it's 24 years after this one and David is 70!!!!!!!
I saw that live in 1994, Cleveland Ohio. Never in my life did I ever hear 115,000 people dead silent until this. It brings goose bumps any time I think about it.
I saw the Indy show... Great times...
San Antonio show here, My God we were so lucky to have seen that tour. 30 years ago, still remember is vividly, like a dream.
@@Uncle_Neil And a Neil Fan too? I've seen Neil 12 times in concert! Saw my first concert in San Antonio, Cat Scratch Fever (Joe Freeman Colosseum.) Miss the Riverwalk... Peace!
Thank you for not interrupting the best guitar solo ever also Pink Floyd is best listened to with beadphones on well done now a Pink Floyd must are Great Gig In the sky and Shine on you crazy diamond and the whole album Dark side of the moon
Thank you so much for your comment and the suggestions 😊
There is absolutely nothing like a Pink Floyd concert. Seen them 5 times and every show was unreal. The Animals tour was my favorite. They are true musical masters on the stage and studio.
Thank you for your reaction, Inna! The last guitar solo in this song is widely regarded as THE guitar solo! Many people consider it to be the best rock guitar solo ever played. If not, it's almost always in the top 5.
I'm one of them!!!!!!
I come to the comment section to say the exact thing 😂
Eddie Van Halen "Eruption" is it's main competition from what I've gleaned on CZcams.
I agree its good, but, my opinion only, David Gilmour Comfortably Numb live at Pompeii 2016, the solos should be considered a national treasure, especially the 2nd and David is 70........AMAZING. Tell me what you think.
@@timl8302 Eddie is the G.O.A.T.
No, not just a guitar solo - worlds best guitar solo...
Great reaction. Wait until you here the studio version!
As a guitarist ..I still get chills from it in certain songs! There is so much ancient magic in our music.
wow! That’s truly incredible!
in our old music.*
New music has no magic at all, it's just garbage.
"I don't cook I don't clean" "see all the bitches up in hurr" "blings and bitches" "snitches get stiches" "I don't need no man" and whine men crying about women stuff.
I was lucky enough to be in the crowd for this performance, it was beautiful
I'm jealous!😂😂👍👍
Wow just a tad jealous
For sure jealous.😂
This might be the greatest rock concert that ever happened. This is virtuoso stagecraft. I especially love the glittering ball opening up like the chrysalis of a butterfly above the crowd.
I saw Pink Floyd 5 times , incredible talent all of them. I love everything about Floyd. Peter from Canada.
best band of all times 😎👍
Pink Floyd,, "Wish You Were Here",,,,,Your new favorite song.
I would recommend each song off the "Dark Side Of the Moon" album, in order of how they appear on the album!
There are songs that make you wish they never ended - Comfortably Numb is one of them. Pink Floyd and Nightwish are definitely my two absolute favorite bands!
Nightwish with Tarra Tarunen
Probably my only complaint about Comfortably Numb is that the second guitar solo ends on a fadeout - that's why I like the Pulse version better!
The greatest guitar solo in rock history, period.
Great reaction. Believe it or not, this was not even the final song. This was followed by Run Like Hell, which is also worth the watch (as are other songs from this concert). Run Like Hell shows off the absurd epicness of their sound and visuals. Seeing this live was beyond words.
Great shout
The entire Pulse concert was just pure gold. Pink Floyd is one of the few bands that sounds as good, if not better, live.
Heck, they did the complete DSOM live.
@@mgass1354 "Pink Floyd is one of the few bands that sounds as good, if not better, live"
In my experience, I have found the opposite to be true. I have been to over 300 major concerts, and with very few exceptions, the overwhelming majority sounded better live. In addition to Pink Floyd, which I have seen 10 times (Roger Waters solo was another 10), I have seen bands/artists such as, Genesis, David Bowie, Peter Gabriel, Jethro Tull, Santana, The Grateful Dead (about 35 times), Crosby, Still, Nash, and Young, Nightwish, Steve Miller Band, Bob Dylan, Sting, Steppenwolf, The Guess Who, Marillion, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tom Petty, and many others. All of these acts were incredible live. That said, the Pink Floyd Pulse concert was definitely the best show I have ever seen, with Nightwish a close second.
@@alanholck7995 In my opinion, DSOM is the greatest album ever made, and seeing it performed live was one of my absolute best concert experiences ever!
Welcome to Pink Floyd. And not only is the music spectacular and unique (soundscapes), you'll find the lyrics extremely engaging. I've listened to Floyd since the early 1970s and never tire of their music.
Any song from the Pulse concert will not disappoint. A few I recommend, coming back to life, high hopes, run like hell. David Gilmore is the lead guitar and lead vocals, and his guitar solos are brilliant.
TIME from Pink Floyd has incredible lyrics.
"On The Turning Away", "Sorrow", "High Hopes", "Dogs Of Wars", "Echoes", "Time" etc. etc. 😉
Pink Floyd is a journey of sound, passion and show. They take you places you did not existed and feel things you've never felt.
Im trying to watch Pink Floyd... My favourite Band 🤘
But cannot help looking at your knockers 😊
We're all thinkin it, he's just sayin it 😂
😂😂😂😂😂
Long may they wave!
pink who?
YEP! Love your work, lol;-)
The solo you want to ever end.....
Best band ever, this track will be played at my funeral ( on the way in) and freebird, lynyrd skynyrd on the way out 👍❤🏴 ps try listening with a headset on , its a must for floyd 👍
The most perfect guitar solo ever
Great reaction. You witnessed true greatness. One of the greatest rock bands ever!
“I love it! Guitar solo?!” No. Not a guitar solo. THE guitar solo. It’s impossible to make it better. But yet each time he plays it live, he does!🤘
Listen to the studio version as well. Also, Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Wish You Were Here, Sorrow from the same concert, Run Like Hell and so many more.
Definitely play more but stay with the live shows, like the Pulse tour. Sorrow, High Hopes, Run Like Hell, and Learning to Fly are a couple good ones to see. Thank you for your perspective on this awesome band.
Amazing solo
Every Pink Floyd concert was not just a concert, but an experience. This is especially true for the Pulse tour, where they pulled stuff off that has been unmatched ever since. Also watch „High hopes“ and „Keep Talking“ from the same concert!
No matter how many times i watch this performance it always makes me feel so emotional. The harmonies, the light show, the musicianship and of course David Gilmours epic soul wrenching guitar solo.
The most badass Statocaster solo , ever played live. David what did you do , you old crazy rock dog? He 's not soloing... he's praying!! 😮 Respect to David , rocked the stage !!
Shine On You Crazy Diamond.
You just witnessed one of the greatest guitar solos of all time. I love to see you get so into the music and the smile it put on your face! Superb reaction video!
Miss Inna, I am obligated to offer disagreement.........this is NOT a show..........this is a COSMIC ADVENTURE that takes your heart and soul on a blissful journey into elegant tranquility.........the magic of Pink Floyd!!
You would love this concert. Every song is as great as the last one.
Perhaps THE greatest performace of one of the greatest rock solos ever... by perhaps the GREATEST rock guitarist.. fucking EVER!!!
It's a joy living vicariously through your first listen to this incredible song. I was a teenager when this song came out and to this day, this song can move me to tears. There is just something special about Pink Floyd, and in particular David Gilmour's voice and guitar playing. So many of their songs are deeply touching with a mix of joy, sorrow, melancholy.
Inna, I have to applaud you, there are many that do these reaction channels on CZcams that only listen to the music and not the lyrics. When it comes to Pink Floyd, the music complements the lyrics. Gilmore and company are true musicians and play with a cause.
A sign of good music : When the long songs seem short and the short songs seem longer. Time stands still.
Yes! 💯 agree!
Perfectly comment 💯
How awesome and amazing that
TOOL has the GREATEST LYRICS! They are my generations Pink Floyd. ✌
They are one of the greatest most influential bands of all time. Check out studio version of "Time" by them next.
this is my generations music. I saw Floyd. They surround the stadium with speakers so that the music moves in circles around you. They are the standard by which all other rock bands are measured.
I was fortunate to see Pink Floyd live in 1988. I was 14 years old. It completely changed my life as a person and musician. Decades and hundreds of shows later, nothing else comes close to that experience.
My favourite Pink Floyd song from a band I loved since hearing their legendary album, The Dark Side of the Moon, as a kid back in the early 80's. The song was written by Roger Waters, the bands bass player and main lyricist who left the band about 10 years before the Pulse concert after a huge falling out with David Gilmore who played that brilliant guitar solo. Waters was suffering from severe stomach cramps before a show on their US tour in 1977 (in Philadelphia I think) and was incorrectly diagnosed with food poisoning which turned out to be hepatitis. A Doctor gave him something for the pain which did make him feel 'Comfortably Numb' and it seems it was a very unpleasant experience and the inspiration for this song.
Great comment! Just to be clear for the new listener though, Roger wrote the lyrics and David wrote the music.
You're making me feel old! I saw Pink Floyd for the first time in a small venu in Detroit in 1969. I probably paid $2.00 to get in. Grand Funk played that night too.
@Scott Miller what was the date of the show? I probably have a copy of it. As much as I love how fine-tuned they were into the 70s, there's something about the rawness of those shows from 1968-71 that brings something special.
@Ian Fortier It had to be july 1968 because Syd Barrett had just left and David Gilmour was still kind of new. He joind mid 67. I was in jr high school. My hippy aunt took me. She warped my brain. That's why I worked in radio. I got to see all the great bands!
For the avoidance of doubt, the above story about the song is completely made-up BS: The concert was in 1994 and the song had originally been written about Syd Barrett as was the whole album which was called Wish You Were Here. This song was about attempts to get Barrett ready to perform in a show when he was off his head on drugs and completely incapable.
Absolutely fantastic set of major league fun bags!!
Hello Inna, Thank you so much for your reactions to Pink Floyd’s most iconic songs. I am luckily enough to have seen them in concert 4 times.
Your reactions and analysis of the songs are very good. It’s a delight to have a young persons view on this legendary band. I’ll check out the other bands you have looked at.
One band I would suggest is the Canadian band Rush a progressive rock band from Ontario Canada. They were a three piece outfit guitar, bass and drum although they all had bass pedals. The bassist played keyboards, even the drummer had a keyboard that he could hit with his drum sticks. You were impressed with Pink Floyd’s drum kit Rush drummer Neil Peart’s is bigger. He joined them in 1974 and retired after 40 years, he sadly died in 2020.
Songs you should cover
Tom Sawyer
Closer to the Heart
The Spirit of Radio
Peart was also their main lyricist.
Have fun on your music journey pretty lady.
Regards John
So,how 'bout Pink Floyd's belter song??? And this 1 is LIVE?!?! WOOOOW HOLY MOLY.. And the solo(s) then...NOOOO words..😊
Time by Pink Floyd is a great song
That was the biggest stage i ever saw in person. I saw them in Madison Wisconsin. I can honestly say it was the best show ive ever seen and ive seen alot. Spectacular
Saw them in 1987.This song was played, the energy in the dome was so intense. They were by far the greatest concert I've ever seen. It was more than a concert, it was an experience! Ironic, or not, they could put the cartels out of business.
LEARNING TO FLY from the same concert PULSE 1994
Have you ever heard a song that has no lyrics but the singing makes you cry ? Great Gig in the Sky. If you haven't already.
Pink Floyd began in London in 1965. At the Pulse Concert (1994), you see 3 of 4 members of Pink Floyd performing at around age 50.
Still the best I've ever seen. Time, wish you were here, on the turning away.
Thank you for not pausing during the solo! 🥹
Hi Inna. I'm Marshall and I love your reactions. I need to let you know the guitarist on Smooth is the legendary Carlos Santana. One of the most brilliant musicians in the world
DAVID GILMOUR IS THE TIMELORD OF THE LEAD GUITAR 🎸 PINK FLOYD WILL TAKE YOU TO ANOTHER WORLD 🌎 AND ACROSS THE MILKY WAY 🌌
been a fan for 45 years will always be
Cute blouse. I like it. Glad you enjoyed the song. It’s utterly one of their two biggest.
I was fortunate enough to see Pink Floyd on this very concert tour (The Division Bell Tour - "Pulse" is the name of the live album that came out after). I saw them at the old Foxboro Stadium in Massachusetts (USA) in May 1994. It was nighttime (outdoor venue). It was one of the most incredible experiences I've ever had in my life. I was emotionally swept up in the whole experience. I believe this particular performance was later in 1994 (October?) at Earls Court in London.
Same here, I saw the Kansas City version in Arrowhead Stadium, after driving with my family for 4 hours across the state. This song was one of the high points of my life, and for the rest of the decade, I could give myself goosebumps at will by thinking of this song.
@@alexthorpe6583 Totally agree! 🤘
I saw them on tour at Three Rivers Stadium in Pittsburgh.
I saw them in Pontiac, Michigan the night they first played Dark Side on the tour. Unforgettable! The Foxboro show from the 19th was the first bootleg I got from this tour, that show was one of the best they played!
I was at the Foxboro show also! It was the only time I got to see them but I'll never forget it! Fantastic show! The atmosphere was surreal, especially during this song. I bought 3 T-shirts for $75! Lol. Still my favorite band to this day.
Any song from pulse concert, recommend run like hell.. 👍👍🏴
Nice reaction. I would´ve given my left hand to have been at that concert!!!!!!
i can say i'm 23y and i have the privillege to watch them live, david gilmour and roger wwaters. 2015 and 2018. amazing show,
The one and only. Close your eyes and prepare to "Transport"
I seen this Tour at Ohio State Stadium 🏟️ Over 150 Thousand People Easy more likely 200 Thousand People. And David Gilmore will take you to another World 🌍 and then bringing you back. I love all of Pink Floyd Songs and his creativity on the Guitar 🎸🎶 he has several of the best Guitar players in the world say that David Gilmore can take One Note 🎵 and make it sound like a Hundred Notes 🎶. He's just Amazing on playing Guitar and he sings so enchanting it's hypnotic. And listening to Pink Floyd with Headphones 🎧. 👍 that's the Best way to listen to Pink Floyd. 1994 Pulse Concert Tour. Best Concert Ever and Best Light Show Ever Seen. Great Reaction and I appreciate the Younger generation enjoying my kind of Music 🤗 it sooths the soul and Helps you remember others. Great 👍👏💪😎
Run Like Hell from the same concert. It's the finale, and immediately follows Comfortably Numb, and you'll see why.
I’ll never need therapy
I have Pink Floyd.
Greatest guita r solo ever by the greatest guitarist in the world along with mark knopfler.
You did a great reaction. Thank you. You didn't feel the need to interrupt constantly and we appreciate it.
There are so many but Sorrow and High Hopes from this same concert are over the top masterpieces as well. Timeless Pink Floyd.
ooh Pink Floyd!
nice
Spending my teenage years in the 70's, Pink Floyd was the only band I didn't want to see live. Dark side of the moon was such a perfectly engineered album how could they possible replicate it live.
I was there in 1994 MTL. My first live show and still the one I remember the most
this is a guitar solo!!!!!!!!💓💓💓
What’s happening is probably the greatest guitar ever recorded.
Clemson, NC 1994 ...I was there... didn't know I would never get to see them again..... Here's to ya'...420...stay numb..
🚬
You should've been there. The electricity in the crowd was incredible. When the ball opened the crowd went nuts. Truly the best show I ever saw.
One of favorite bands ever! I was first exposed to Pink Floyd in 69 and have every album. Great reaction!
Inna, you used the correct word when you said experience. Welcome to the experience that is Pink Floyd. I’m always thrilled when I see younger people discovering the music I grew up with and how excited they can get.
I was at this concert. A once in a lifetime event never to be repeated.
Echoes live in Gdansk
Live at Pompeii around 2016/7, same song but even better. The surrounds help, steeped in history. The second guitar solo is a gift from God.
She's cute. Also, enjoyed the reaction to my favorite band. I was fortunate enough to see them in concert twice. Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio.
Cheers
Amazing performance.. well if you wonder why Pink Floyd is a huge influencial band still today, for many other bands, just look at this..
It's not normally 10mins long. David Gilmore just prolonged the last guitar solo to keep the crowd wild
On the Turning Away!!!
I saw this tour in my home town, July 1, 1994. My oldest daughter was born merely 2 weeks prior to the show. This show was life altering, literally. Although I was and still am a life-long Pink Floyd fan, the fact that they came to our little city to perform made myself, and thousands of others cry in joy. My wife and I were 10 seats stage left of the mirror ball/sound engineer. The sound system was in true Dolby surround. Mind blowing clarity. Front speaker stacks, rear stacks and smaller stacks in the upper deck seats, mid-way. 55,000 fans crammed into our outdoor stadium on a gorgeous 27°C summer evening. Comfortably Numb brought the entire stadium to tears of happiness. Literally one of the most profound days of my life.
Pink Floyd have so many songs that are perfect. You can reserve a good 30 hours of music.
Listen to Shine on you crazy diamond from the album Wish you where here. and the song with the same name.
Yes it's a great guitar solos, both of them... and yes it's quite the show.. hope you enjoyed it also.
Hello, welcome to Floyd , try the song Time from Dark side of the moon
Pink Floyd are the only band to have an album in the album charts for over 18 years (dark side of the Moon)
Stop looking at yourself so much, dont worry you look great! PS you have ony just begun with this band. Great job!!
Yeah Her eyes darting to the right was distracting. I couldn't tell if she was monitoring her poses from a different screen or being coached from off camera.
How I wish - how I wish I was there.
