It is normal for the expiry date of bread to be so close.. Its in Africa that we sometimes keep bread for a long time which is not even healthy. Even so some of the bread I buy in my country get spoilt within 3 days. So this is very normal.

How u go open hand buy bread for 1900 naira why don't u use an alternative which literally have no expiring date eg shapatti do it dryer than the way the French people does their or ask Google it can stay till 2month and still fresh and very nutrusious, do it in large quantity may be 30-50 no need for fridge that means I will be spending less if I'm there bcos I do my ice cream, biscuits, cookies, cake, bread, puffpuff, pizza, shawama all by myself u just name it. It's more affordable that way

Just a tip, you can freeze bread. It extends the longevity of it and it still tastes fresh and nice when defrosted. If you freeze bread, you don't have to worry about the best by date on the pack cos it should still be good for at least 2 months.

Not really, the GBP is stronger than the Norwegian krone. For instance, half a crate of eggs in the Uk cost £2 that equates to 23.04 Kr using Google's exchange rate. African food is quite expensive in the UK compared to Nigeria.

@@pathwayuk I grew up in Norway and now live in the uk. trust me, Food in Norway is way more expensive. And the salaries are way higher than the uk. Another thing is, it also depends on the type of grocery shop you go too. Some are cheaper than others. Yes the pound is a little bit higher, but jobs are paying less and the food is just 5%-10% cheaper.
