Herodias was a woman in the Bible who was married to a ruler named Herod Antipas. People didn't like their marriage because it was seen as wrong. A guy named John the Baptist spoke out against it. Even though Herod Antipas put John in prison, he still respected him.
During a big party, Herodias' daughter danced, and Herod liked it so much that he promised her anything she wanted. Herodias is remembered in the Bible as someone who did something really wrong and influenced a bad decision.
