Yes! You can win a game in the 1st quarter. Heck you can win on the opening kickoff if you keep the other team from scoring. This is probably the only thing that bugs me about Pete's coaching and probably why we always start slow.

I was at the NFC Championship game and then the ensuing super bowl parade, they canceled school for the parade, we took the bus down and partied with the city on a sunny 20 degree day. Will always remember that season!

Man the thing I loved so much about the LOB was that it was an era when you WANTED the defense on the field because those guys played defense like they were on offense. I was in the north bleachers when Kam laid that hit on Vernon Davis in 2012. I remember hearing pads cracking from up near the top. The only thing that made the crowd go even crazier was when Sherm ran back a blocked FG a few plays later.
Vernon Davis was never the same after that hit. Kam laid him out!

This brings back so many memories. The Hawks stayed at my hotel for training camp starting in 2011 and I feel such a special connection to these guys that I watched go from rookies to Super Bowl champions. Looking forward to the rest of the series.
We were at that Atlanta game. They looked so good. I was convinced that had hawks won that game, they would have beaten the 49ers the following week and gone to the SB. So much young talent.
My city was hyped those years. Man where did the time go?!?

The worst part about this is that you see what a strong bond the team had during this era, and then you see how Mr. Unliiiimited started to act, and you wish he had just realized that if he hadn't gotten such a big head, and just focused on the team, he probably actually would have done much more for his overall legacy. The atlanta playoff game was harsh because poor clock management and decision making left points on the field.

Even though Percy didn’t do much for us in the regular season because he got that bad concussion when he did finally play, just his kickoff return for a TD in the Super Bowl was worth it. That return demoralized the broncos and any hope they had was gone after that
