- How To Make Cheese Corndog Hotdog Korean [ASMR]
Here's the recipe:
160ml warm water
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp yeast
1 1/4 cup All Purpose Flour or Bread Flour
1/2 tsp salt
4 Hotdogs (Tender Juicy Chicken Hotdog)
Cheese (Eden cheese)
Instructions:
1. Combine warm water, sugar and yeast.
2. Add the flour and salt.
3. Let it rest for atleast 1 hour or until it double its size.
4. Prepare the hotdog and cheese.
5. Cut the hotdog in half.
6. Cut the cheese same size as the hotdogs.
7. Put the hotdog and cheese on the skewers.
8. Deep the hotdog sticks on the dough and pull away the hotdog sticks away from the dough and start swirling.
9. Fry over low heat until golden brown
10. Serve with catsup and mustard.

Thank you for this recipe! About the yeasted batter, can I prep it the night before, proofing overnight in the refrigerator? Or can I already prep in advance my skewered cheese+hotdog coated with the yeasted batter, store in the ref and fry later? Thank you very much in advance
Batter can be prepped 1-2 days before its being used and if yeasts being used it stops the moment its in anything cold yeast requires a warm environment for it to do what it needs to which is why you always use warm water to activate it
@@AaronW-ww4ds hello- I'm making this for a culinary class, if making the batter in advanced then there is no need to keep it cold before using? I will only be making it a few hours ahead of time and using the batter for about 3 hours while making the corndogs

Made these today. For me, my batter was the same consistency as yours. I raised my yeast with the sugar and warm water first before adding the flour. I put that in a warm place covered and raised it for an hour. I put that inside a preheated oven, but not too hot, just warm. The batter was perfect and I can roll the hotdog and cheese perfectly. One thing tho, you need to thaw your cheese before cutting it so it won’t break and dry the hot dog with paper towel. Overall, this recipe is the best!

Try to pat dry the hotdog by using kitchen towel to remove the moisture from the hotdogs.

@J E W E L I did not, I have rested the batter for one hour as it said. I have made a couple of times and the longer the batter rested the stingier it could be. It because of the gas that excess. The batter in this video looks silky , I guess, either it could because of it was stirred or got cold overtime. I'm not sure that's why I asked
@@silvia6630 hi im sorry for the late response. One of the reason why the batter become stringy is because of over mixing which is still fine..The more you mix your batter the stronger the gluten becomes.
Mine i did not over do the mixing.. just enough until my batter becomes sticky.
I followed and did this recipe today and my batter was the same as the one on the video. I just added 1/4 cup more of flour because I find the recipe with 1 1/4 cup of flour a little bit runny. Thanks for the recipe!
Its because of the yeast
Same issue, I tried 2 recipes from diff. Channels one with yeast and one without, yung isa chilled, yung isa hinde. tapos when it hits the pan, the coating just melts on one side, di ko macoat ng makapal yung hotdog lol. This one I haven't tried yet. So, before trying it, just want to clarify, dapat until just incorporated lang ang pag mix? Do you have a rough estimate kung gaano katagal minimix dapat yung dough?
Pwede bang mag request pano yung measurement para sa isang serving lang? Trial muna sana para di masayang.

Was able to make 6 corn dogs from the batter.. pero may sobra pa po.. Just po it in an airtight container and refrigerate.

Use a tall pan, like a pasta pan to fry it. All you gotta do is continue to flip it around and cook evenly
What i do is i get a empty spaghetti jar or any type of jar on hand and put the deep fry oil in there last a month and a half then i toss it

It's fine the day after as you can prep it 1-2 days before hand as long as its stored correctly in a container with lid
