The 2x Super Bowl Champion has been battled tested on and off the football field and developed a sense of gratitude for life as he continues on his path to pursuit greatness and always giving back.
The All Pro Defensive End earned a reputation of grit and physicality early in his NFL career, coming off the edge as a key member of the Giants defense defeating Tom Brady in the 2012 Super Bowl.
After a July 4th fireworks accident happened where JPP lost two fingers from explosives blowing up in his hand, so much of his life came into a clearer focus as the All Pro fought to find his way back on a football field. Learning how to manage simple tasks like tying his shoes and writing, JPP developed a mentality of making the most of every situation and being grateful for life.
Looking up to his father for inspiration and motivation to work through the adversity, JPP shares how his father being blind and never complaining kept him grounded during the hard times and showed him that no matter what life puts in front of you, there’s always a way forward.
Earning his way back on the field, JPP worked towards another Super Bowl win, this time with Tom Brady as his quarterback and led a young defensive core to get his second ring.
A few sacks shy of 100 total in his career, JPP is looking to call another NFL team home this season and sees how much the game has changed, how much tackling has changed and wants to be the veteran voice in a young organization.
Going back to his younger years of college and leading a life where trouble always seemed close by, JPP opens up on how those days shaped him into the man he is today while teaching him tough lessons that only made him stronger along the way.
The Pivot Podcast releases premiere episodes every Tuesday with audio available at 9aest and streaming on CZcams at 12pest. Fridays are special drops during football season at 3:30pest.

I went to USF while JPP was there, and those were the best teams. Him coming back to tampa to win with the Bucs made it better. Nithing but respect to fam.
It's funny cuz my Dad has been blind my whole life and my mom works as a nurse as well. I can totally relate to JPPs upbringing
Love JPP! I went through a crazy car accident around the time he did. We both broke our necks but I was in a wheelchair from other injuries. I DM’d him to let him know his return from his broken neck was inspiring me to come back from mine. He responded told me he loved me and told me could do it. Even followed my journey and congratulated me when I was walking again. Forever grateful for that guy. Thank you JPP 🤍
Wow!!!!
I remember when he had the hand injury, I never knew about his neck. He's truly inspiring with an amazing and positive story ❤
It's the pivot
JPP fought all odds, nothing compared to his dad. Never knew his story, always admired his play before and more so after his incidents. Pivot just gets better.
I love this young man. Proud of him. He’s also a fantastic storyteller too! Could listen to him for hours. 😍
Salute to JPP he played at fort scott with my cousin Jas Hopkins he always spoke highly of him
Loved having JPP on the Bucs for the few years we did. Man was a beast during the Super Bowl run and the run defense ain’t been the same since he and Suh left!! Miss the days of teams never being able to rush against us
A real genuine Zoe 💯

Other end was George Selvie

JPP one of my favorite players been following him since his days at USF and then he played for my favorite team. Go Bucs!!!
Finally Fred asked what’s your biggest pivot question 🤣
This interview is great!
Great episode. RC mentioning BlackPlanet has me in tears 🤣 I met my son’s dad there 🤣😩🤣
Those were the good ole days
This is such a beautiful testimony GOD is good🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
This dude blew his hand off then went out and sacked the qb like 50 more times. 94.5 career sacks and higher on the all time TFL list than ppl like Ray Lewis and Khalil Mack. JPP was HIM. If my son grows to have DE size I'm showing him the JPP push pull
JPP with 8 fingers was a terror! JPP with 10 fingers was a nightmare.
Blackplanet was lit... RC knows he had one too
So was JPP Hand 😂😅
