It's not an animatic, it's definitely from the new animation project that''s coming out called SKY THE TWO EMBERS, it already has a trailer, I don't know how many episodes it will be though.

I love how much the characters are able to express without actually talking! Just like how players have to do it without unlocking chat
It’s also amazing how much the characters can express emotion when they don’t actually have faces
I just noticed the season of Prophecy sigil on the priests(?) broach

1. Isle being forested. Mounds are in the background.
2. Isle had more land that’s now covered by the clouds.
3. The child (probably the King) is with other children, alongside a guardian of sorts.
4. The child looks at an Abyss-style manta..
5. The guardian looks angry, and is presumably from Vault.
6. More multi-wing mantas are being shown.
7. The boat heads to the flourishing Isle Temple, with isle being shown.
8. “Many years later”… so it’s definitely canon
9. “The story continues” the most interesting part to me. The Two Embers will not only have a story that connects with the game, but it sounds like the “start”. Maybe Two Embers will appear to people who haven’t played Sky, causing them to watch the show before playing the game?

It seems the animation series, the first part of the trailer, will be a mix of 3d and 2d elements, like a picturebook!

The story would be better, and the animation would be better.
@EssieBell-xu4yt I was thinking more like puss n boots but it's own style, like how arcane did their own thing with stylistic semi realism with a sprinkle of 2d elements. What I noticed from all the trailers so far tho, is their use of 2d is more economic- rather budget consciou than just stylistic choice e.g. the clouds, static bg in establishing and wide shots. pretty similar to how they do it in game too(the looming eden and some other bg elements you dont interact with)

For people watching this for the first time, I cannot recommend this game enough.
It’s a free game that is seriously so so beautiful and the mechanics have a WEIGHT to them that make this game such an immersive experience.
The community is amazing, genuinely one of the nicest I’ve seen, it’s literally a game built around helping one another if you choose to play with others.
And don’t get me started on the graphics and visuals. Knowing it’s now got even BETTER graphics is SO exciting.
You can play it on pretty much any platform now, so you can play it on your phone (which it was originally released on! So you know it runs well!) and then hop on your PC to continue where you left off!!
AND they’re constantly updating it with free content. If you’re considering it, watch some gameplay and give it a shot, you won’t regret it!!
It’s a game that’s so satisfying to get good at!!

What I have never quite figured out, is how they unlocked the ability to "fly"... I've seen in Journey, the wall writings... and in Sky, the various Spirits that seem to lack capes and flight in general... which makes me think that the Flying Capes (Which unlocks your flying ability in the beginning of Sky), are not rare, but also not everybody has one?
I would like to say and then you have one or two spirits with scarves that can fly, and sort of remind me of the long Scarf in Journey. Regardless I love and adore this game! Hopeful Steward and Hide'n'Seek pioneer are my two favorite spirits! Followed probably in 2nd by the Forest Elder and the Nesting Guide also in a draw.
