I love going after those slightly older prospects in the draft every season especially in the outfield or a corner infield spot. They produce right away more often then not. Love the series and the channel Hedger for rookie of the year next season im calling it.
I feel thst the HR, Trip, Double snd maybe hit leaders should get small buffs. Like +1 Pwr, Dis for HR, +1 Con, Spe for trip, + 1 Con, Vis, Dis for Doubles, and something for hit leaders (this one im not as sure on).
Love the series I feel like the team will be better and bounce back in the next season! Great content keep it up
I agree, I’m hoping we are competitive in the wild card chase for sure, the tough division we are in will make this challenging for a while

Season 3 Wild card ride!! Let’s Go
What a finish to the season, it will be interesting to see where we end up in the draft. I cannot wait for next season this team is gonna come out looking like a whole new club, tbh I could see one year needing the young guys to get used to the show but we are on the way to cookin this league
It’s possible they will need a year, we definitely are off to a great start with Maclin getting ROY and with Hedger showing off in 1 month of mlb play
Watson is a long reliever bro he has 62 stamina and doesn’t have the clutch to be in the high pressure situations he will be in in the 8th 9th inning if big games with men on. He also isn’t a strikeout pitcher at all n that’s real important if he comes into or gets into a jam.
Would love to see the expos get a high-tier starter this off-season

What a stellar episode! The player boosts seem fair and balanced. Maybe a slight boost in adell too. But other than that. 100% agree with all this… FA period. I’d go in getting players like adell. Overlooked talent. But not soo much because as you said don’t want to stunt the growth in place. But definitely some competition in some positions to keep them hungry not complacent. 💯😂. Because I think and realistic honestly…. Once you get the bag you lose that competitive edge. Take the RP you talked about that terribly performed….one could say “he cashed in then cashed out” i think the idea would be focusing on pitching 85% in free agency and trades and 15% in positional players because the foundation is there we know that. But pitching it’s “eh” idk his overall but I know his story and Trevor Bauer is a good story.….didnt gel well with Arizona starting out. Got traded to Cleveland redeveloped n retooled then went to Cincinnati won the cy young award in 2020. Signed with dodgers led the league in strikeouts then well…. Has a “lawsuit” against him to simply put it… idk… he’s a decent option if in game. Because before the legal stuff. He was set to have an amazing career.. Steven matz.
A guy you should look at is a reliever on the Giants called Reggie Crawford but he has the two way ability to play and but as well, not the craziest highly rated player by any means but throws hard and can hit, kind of a guy that’s fits the idea of young exciting baseball.
Jo adell deserves to be viewed as an opening day starter until after the FA period and spring training but badoo and assad need to be shipped else where. Also potentially look at Walker going to a corner out field spot maybe

Akil baddoo really turned his season around. Even tho his average was low he still had above average OBP AND SLG and a above average OPS. In my opinion underserving of the downgrade
Dont put Luis Avila in the MLB right away! Hes good now but putting him in the majors now could stunt his growth. Let him rake in AA at the start, and if he performs well, move him to AAA after the allstar break. Maybe he could do September callups if hes great but I wouldnt rush him, its a rebuild after all.
Definitely don’t want to stunt his growth but right now all options are on the table
@@TnJonCZcams I like the idea of Hedgers being set up for his ROY campaign this next season, and then Avila the following year, so they're not competing with each other (and the team earns an extra pick when someone wins the rookie of the year right? Having a steady flow of guys who challenge for the award could be cool and help build the farm out further).
Just go get Lane Thomas. Let him patrol center for a couple years
I think Higgy should get a 1 year extension, to be a bench bat/mentor.
Yeah his role would be limited, however we will see what’s out there on the market
@@TnJonCZcams I still think he should stay!! Not only is he the right age to be a mentor, but he's played well enough to earn a bench spot.
The reason maclin won ROY over Herb is because he had more RBIs and home runs. The game factors those two first. And with CY Youjg awards they care more about strikeouts and wins then ERA same thing with the MVP they care more about home runs and RBIs unless the batting average is crazy with a lot of homers and RBIs
Also you’re gonna see a lot of regression from Walker not just because of his service time but also when you reach your potential you start to regress. I’ve developed guys to be .280+ hitters high contact and average power but once they reach their potential they regress. You might wanna trade Walker at the deadline or just release him he’ll probably be like 80 overall by the break and might even start regressing more during spring training
Guys to look for to get on base with will usually have average to low vision but high discipline
