Hate hearing fast kicks but seeing such soft little hits. I know he's getting the notes, but take away the triggers and that would sound lame. Not being a hater, you know it's true.

As a drummer myself u need triggers no matter what playing that speed, the faster u go the closer ur hits are and the less power u have, so yes u need triggers, good luck playing that without, not saying it's impossible, look at the metal band Nile but for the majority of ppl u need triggers

You should also love triggers because every imperfection is amplified. So if he misses a note or messes up any slightly, you're gonna absolutely hear it.

@@RobRobinson42 That's true. But it's always weird to hear a cannonball being launched while seeing the gentlest push.

@@RobRobinson42 yep drummer too, I'm not bagging triggers.. used them for a long time, but with single strokes and more power. John Longstreths doubles are damn solid, but Austin's (although fast and tight) are played so softly.

He's good but doesn't have any energy, he looks bored.

It's probably because it takes a massive amount of energy to play this, and he is conserving. On tour, he plays multiple songs a night at this pace. I play drums, and I can't even imagine the fatigue. I think it's amazing he looks so calm. The second something gets tough for me, I'm sticking my tongue out struggling like an idiot 😅

@@vetchemh3 I see your point but this is metal bro! I want to see sticks snapping, cymbals cracking and the snare thrown into someone's face! \m/
