Her attitude towards the crew is enough to have her taken off. If she would have politely asked to take the test again, it may have come back negative and all would have been ok. She over reacted to the situation and this brought it down on herself.
The cost of flying a passenger home on a private jet is far more expensive than trying another test.

It does not matter who is at fault, she should never treat people this way. Even though the cruise industry, one person, may have been at fault by giving her a wristband, they followed the correct protocol and her test came up positive and they did the correct thing by getting her off the ship as to not possibly infect other passengers. As far as bad behavior, too bad walking the plank was outlawed. lol

@@hoopinfloyd Yeah- She also licked doorknobs. She got all expenses paid and a full 100% credit for future cruise. She should have been removed in a straight jacket and be required to pay for disinfecting the ship. Horrible selfish behavior

Also had wrong bracelet on. They're not kids getting into clubs with fake bracelets buying alcohol. In Aug, an elderly woman died on a cruise ship and tested for positive. Cruises literally appeal to old people. My grandparents went in them. If she brought up the mistake, none of this would have happened. Absolute Karen.

I feel bad that she had to get off the cruise, but what was the alternative? They saw a positive test, they couldn’t let her stay on and risk infecting everyone. The extended footage I saw showed everyone treating her politely and I don’t think you can ask for more than that in such a no-win situation.

@@princess2none yes, and they finally did. But, we cannot forget that her reaction was directly related to the initial treatment she received. I would say, given the little information we know, that her reaction was justified due to insufficient explanation of the situation up to the point she was made aware of the refund and comped cruise. After that point it also appears that her demeanor changed from aggressive to joking. Indicating that it was the staffs refusal to explain the situation as a direct cause of her reaction. Every comment is blasting this woman as some evil/unwarranted aggressive person. I don’t see it that way. I see it as someone who just spent thousands on a cruise being kicked off without explanation nor compensation with no recourse.
They appeared in hazmat suits like the 2319 scene in the “Monsters, Inc” movie 😂

Without a vaccine the ship had a lot of restrictions to the antivaxxers. I'm betting she weaseled a purple band from someone vaccinated in efforts to have more freedom on the ship. And eventually the crew picked up on it, and she didn't have proof showing she had the vaccine

I worked for RCCL for 20 years and they want to keep as many passengers onboard as possible . Onboard sales is their biggest stream of revenue. They only remove a person who’s a danger to themselves or others.

@@Stramontin1 They screwed up with the bracelet, but they were correct in removing her. How do they know she had it and it was the antibodies? So many people lie about it and they have to cover their butts. If they let her stay and suddenly there were many cases, they would have had the pants sued off of them. If the cruise industry doesn't get it right, they may never come back.

But the initial video, the staff screwed up by not explaining exactly what was happening as well as getting the comped cruise, Or a refund for this cruise. 9 times out of 10 rage incidents can be solved with thorough effective communication. The cruise staff failed to maintain control. Especially Keith with whom this woman was initially dealing with.
@@Stramontin1 its not the staffs responsibility to inform her of anything . They were following orders by the Captain of the ship . She received a letter stating why she was being removed from the ship . She was given a FULL REFUND and Credit for a future cruise, plus a FREE Flight home .

Don’t get me wrong, I do feel bad that she had to get off the cruise (assuming she wanted to go for a while) and I don’t know if the test was a false positive (since that does happen sometimes) or not but either way, they had to be safe since if she actually had Covid she could get others at risk so they had to do what they had to do.
Why would any one go on a cruse? Like taking a vacation with 4000 people every place you go?
Ships are big. And not all of them carry 4000 passengers. I'm not saying go or don't go but anywhere you go there are other people around.

Royal Caribbean is a company I will never cruise with again. I had a bad experience and kept telling employees and then I’m standing in line at Guest services. I hear other guests complaining basically the same thing as I had experienced. I spoke up and said yeah that’s happening to us too. Guest services as well did you come and tell us I said you mean to say I can’t pick up the phone and car I can’t report it to other employees and it gets taken care of I have to come down here and stand in this long line to get anything done. We were being harassed by all the young teenagers that was on the cruise ship one my friends was knocked down and spent the rest of her trip in a wheelchair that we had to borrow from the ship. That was my fourth cruise with them. That day I said never again.

Well the problem was teenagers running crazy knocking people down, harassing my friends daughter, 4 young men had her surrounded and a employee yelled for them to get away from her. They were saying horrible things to elderly people especially women. A Doctor from NC was on that cruise and we met them in the arcade. She was saying no way I’m allowing my young son to go anywhere without me or his father. She said they nearly knocked down her elder mother in law. That’s what most of us were dealing with. I was upset because I felt if you report what was happening and point out who they were to an employee. Then it would get turned in. So when all of us that were standing in line heard someone that was at the counter telling guest services. We said oh my god it happened to us too. No one talked to their parents. Absolutely nothing was done. We could not relax or enjoy ourselves. That’s what I’m talking about. These were high school age young people. They would come running by you and push you and be laughing as they ran on away.

Why did she test Negative both before and right after the cruise? Sounds like the cruise line needs to have a better plan to deal with false positives. I'd be upset too..

Why follow up with the ending you did if she had follow up tests that came back negative, you should have addressed Why she was removed; verification of differences in the types of tests administered, extended the validation of which test was more effective, etc... Riding the line and reporting either is not supplying the people with investigative reporting. You've basically said I'll go ahead and report your story but I'll still report the invalidated side to appease our funding sources

During this time everyone knows vaccinated or not that you run the risk of being tested on a cruise and if found positive removed. If she had politely asked for a retest and not insisted on being present (implying foul play on RCL) it is likely they would have retested. She gets well compensated for her trouble and obviously decides to turn to social media to publicize her case. Is it not possible that she wants to setup a case for defamation against RCL by deliberately placing herself in a poor light? Utterly disgusting how narcissistic and self centered this lady was. You should care enough about others to comply with the rules you signed onto when you signed your sailing agreement.
