Etc etc, several occasions he has clarified this obvious stuff. He's an American Jew, the sentiment is extremely common. He's Larry, not Jerry, and it couldn't be more clear.

I have seen a ton of community posts, apology videos, argumentation with randoms in the comments, etc. from his channel upon literally any amount of criticism. That combined with the lack of any actual insight in his reviews made me stop watching. He is at his best when he is just clowning on meme music; his reviews are always in line with the consensus as are his politics.

tldr as someone that watched brad. i genuinely think he got brainwashed by his own fans. he wasnt always like this. he had opinions and had a strong personality. the more he listened to his viewers, the worse he got. in my mind it started with the twenty one pilots saga. he used to crap all over that band. but some viewers got mad.... and instead of shunning them, he tried to hear them out and give them a fair shot. this made him very appealing to twenty one pilots fans, and fans of similar artists. he gained like a tumblr-core microcosm in his fanbase. the pinnacle of this was when he let two birds explain the entire twenty one pilots 'lore' to him for hours and he sat there trying to be nice about it the entire time despite obviously thinking it was the lamest thing imaginable. but at that point, you could sort of see what he really thought, behind his eyes. you knew he was silently thinking 'this is all nonsense.' but somewhere along the way, it seemed like he actually started to believe everything he fans would tell him. it felt like. he would say something. fans would call him out. then he would genuinely think he was in the wrong, and thank them for correcting him. this never really felt like intentionally pandering to his viewers to me. it seemed more like he was so impressionable that he would just eat up any nonsense they told him. it felt like he had so little confidence in his own mind that he was always in the wrong.
long story short, i think he cultivated a community of tumblr lefties and now they are eating him alive lol

I used to watch Brad when I was first getting into less mainstream music. He has some entertaining vids. Apparently, however, all roads lead to fucking Palestine.
Brad can be entertaining when the stakes are low. It is very safe to make fun of predators, racists, etc. The actual content in his reviews is scant though. His verdict is always in line with the “community’s” consensus, yet he lacks the musical knowledge and vocabulary to adequately describe anything beyond “vibes”. He is molded by his viewers and obliges to an apology at every perceived wrong, including not liking music. It is no surprise that Brad is having to make two apologies to two different sides with how flimsy his principles are.

I really love this podcast but you guys need to balance banter with getting absorbed into the topic.
It feels like just when the discussion is properly starting, someone will interrupt to talk about a tech problem or get sidetracked with something else that's completely irrelevant. That's not to say you can't be funny or snarky, but be funny and snarky on the topic of discussion. Otherwise it just comes off as disinterested, and there might as well not even be topics to go through if neither person cares at all.

Ethan doesnt think that. He's said he's a former fan of Destiny who was surprised when he changed from a gamer to politics debator, he follows him a little on tiktok slamming redpillers, which Ethan enjoyed.
He was aware of the super bad blood between him and Hasan, and that's why they avoided mentioning Destiny while Hasan was co-host. More recently they will sometimes show Destiny clips and compliment him. But this gets backlash from their Lefty/Hasanite audience.
Ethan has never said anything bad about Destiny, outside of a complaint about an e-girl drama from years ago. I don't think it's likely he agrees with his eternally outraged fanbase about how problematic Destiny is.

He ultimately spouted a weak response of "well it's not my authority to make that decision, it isn't my place so i cant say"

It's funny because I had never heard of Brad until about a month ago when I just saw him having a meltdown on twitter because people didnt like his review of the Twenty One Pilots album. My literally thought at the time was damn, how's this guy a youtube music reviewer and acting like this over backlash from from fans of a particular artist. And then a month later, this lol. Say what you will about Fantano's politics but the reason he became the biggest music reviewer on youtube was because he stood by everything he said, regardless of the comments or backlash he got.
