This video is a big lesson to the whole world. The greatest of great teaching.
I was in New Vrindaban (1968/69) when there was just the farmhouse, barn and couple small bldgs - my basic job was to cut down huge dead trees, hook the logs to one of the huge horses and drag to the "temple"...that's how we heated the temple. It was rough, had to take showers under a small waterfall down the hill, which had copperhead snakes once n a while !
I entered the Movement in 1986, in Brazil, when all crazy stuff was going on in and around New Vrindavana ... today I think New Vrindavana is an example to every temple and community around the world struggling to survive due to years of bad administration, egocentric projects and inhumane treatment of devotees (Brazil is full of those) ... if devotees are sincere, projects like this will survive despite fake gurus and bogus leaders ...
HH Kirtananda swami did few things that degraded ISKCON's name ... but still he did many many great things and services to Srila Prabhupada ... Jai Prabhupada...!!!!

My Dad worked at the machine shop in the 80s and i go there with him and play with the kids and take persadam and sing in the kirtans it was fun! I still have my original books they gave me and still drive up there a few times a year. It really hurt my heart that swami Bhaktipada fell down. He was very nice when i was there

Yes lenny,, we can hardly imagine the heaps of austerity and personal sacrifice these devotees went through, to try and establish a farm community, with the worship of Lord Sri Krishna in the center. They were soooo determined to do this, that they were able to create a spiritual "house" in which many sincere spiritual seekers could come and live, and learn how to nicely serve the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Sri Krishna, and become eternally blessed.🙏🙏😑😑

Beautiful depiction of an amazing village and group of Krishna devotees! My husband and I visit whenever we can. The devotees are wonderful, amazing, and compassionate and make us feel at home amongst the community. We have learned so much about different cultures, simple living, and just being apart of something great! Hare Krishna my friends and I can’t wait until we see each other again!!
Just before I watch this video I read an article and listened to a few podcasts about allegations of fraud, drug dealings and other criminal activities to fond this project.
Also, the main character that claimed to be the leader of this movement since 1978 and other than couple of old pictures you don't see him in this video, had been the center of all kind of allegations and conspiracies, not to mention he had been indicted numerous times from child abuse, mail fraud to murder.
In my and lot of other people's opinion, if they are not a cult they got pretty close to become one.
It’s great to see how you have adopted a true family centred community , which is rare.
May I say hesitantly that everything you were put through actually made you stronger in that way.
I wish happiness to all of the Vrajavasis of the New Vrindavan community.

I lived by new vridavan my whole life and my dad worked in the machine shop in the 80s i would go there as a kid and play with the devotees kids! It was amazing! Wed run and play in the forrest hills all day! I still have my books they gave me and go there often still.
