- This farm has some open fields where a large vehicle can access. So, this lorry waits for when the trailers have all gone and takes the grass till one returns. Neat! Just the weather for it, too. Must be tricky when it's muddy.

This would be a Walking Floor trailer, quite handy with bulk haulage. Great video 👌
Thanks! 👍
I must be honest the speed of the operation and the total logistics is incredible
Thanks Alan and you're right!
Great video that lorry trailer takes some amount of grass
Thanks David. It is very hungry!
Good one! Nice scania v8 👌walking floor trailer I guess? Bet the chopper driver hates it can't see in while filling
You got that right!
Maybe there is a camera on the end of spout
Someone is trying to put the tractor drivers out of work for the summer ! :-) Nice find Alan, not something you see very often.
You got that right! but it's not common!
Nice video Alan 😍
Thanks Selva.
Great video 👍for a minute I thought you gone to America they use trucks alot👍
Ah, yes, but not on those hills! That was (is) typically English.
Seen videos of trucks being used for carting maize in the states, but not in this country, too wet , usually?? Good idea to keep the chopper working, but doesn't look right in the field, keep the tractors! Great video though Alan!
Great point! It's not right, but different, and quite interesting!
Super video! Good job, mate! Thumbs Up
Greetings from Romania
Andrew
Thank you very much, Andrew!
Very nice, Alan, I've seen videos in US and NZ with lorries carting but certainly a rare sight over here.
Glad you enjoyed it, Tim. They do it in Holland but even there I have only seen it once (and a much smaller lorry).
Fair play to that lorry driver, one decent load, and not flat ground to load on either! Fair play 👍 from me
Absolutely. Agree with all that.
great video and its so hot hear down in cornwall to
Tell me about it!
Here in New Zealand we basically just use trucks to cart silage as it is cheaper and faster. We are slowly starting to buy more trailers as the trucks are always getting stuck. A second hand truck that is good for silage that has done 1,000,000 kms is only about $20,000
Thanks Drew. That's interesting. This one is, of course, used for other things most of the time.
thats new to me, thanks Alan....
Very welcome, Jakob.
Hi Alan Very nice you don't see that every day it must speed up carting Thank's
Yes it does. No waiting time for the chopper!
Awesome Video Buddy I Love john Deere and The Scania!!!
Same here! Thanks Sebi, always pleased to help!
👍👌🇨🇦❤, new sub, excellent footage
Thanks for the sub! And comments!
Very cool!!!
Thank you.
There must be fair old load in that lorry, very interesting.
Yes, a useful way to keep the chopper working!
Nice video.
Many many thanks!
As always. 👍👍
Thanks again!
So how does it come out of the lorry trailer as it looks like it doesn't tip? Or does it?
I assume it does? But there's always the hand fork !!
The traier has a walking floor i used to run one the design came from the states
It would be a walking floor
There walking floor trailers you open the back up n the load gets pushed out
Trailer has a walking floor.
Wonder is the truck load going to a digester?
Don't think so - it was just off to the farm and unload at the pit.
wow ! nice one, interesting to see that there carting with lorries aswell !
Yes they are! Useful if you have one.
There was some skill full driving by both drivers whilst loading the lorry. Lorry driver was well in tune with how the silage job worked. It wasn't quite the flat open field I was expecting to see a Scania artic working in as they are not the best for traction. That was fantastic and in this country quite rare. Very enjoyable, thanks for that.
Dead right. Both drivers have to be on their mettle!
With whats going on the lorry driver was glad of a days work with every thing on shut down
Yes, sure of it.
#28. А в якій це країні?
Same as always.
Good video. That contractor must have some amount of money if he has a truck drawing
How much money he'd got is no business of mine - and he didn't ask how much my car cost, either!
They have 6 wagons in total I think and they work full time. Very rarely do they actually do silage
The contractor owns the wagons.. and the land lol
that lorry is at least 120 cubic yards , fair load
Yes, a lot of trailers!
Not some thing you see every day, good job it's dry for once.
Yes dry enough to take it anywhere!
First time I've seen one of these outfits over there.
Me, too. All thanks to James, who told me.
Was silage sold of field to small holders or cart to yard
I didn't ask. None of my business.
Ok cheers
🤚👍👍👍🚜
:) :)
my word I have never seen anything like it!
I have only once, and the lorry was much smaller.
Don't see any point in the having when there's about threee trailers waiting to be loaded behind it ?? 😂😃
But you weren't there! Some of the time there were NO trailers there waiting.
Had to hold my breath for the turns at the ends of the rows. Especially as the trailer fills. Very top heavy and uneven terrain spells tip over hazards. Especially if you get into too much of a hurry or are working with inexperienced operators. Pretty neat though, seeing a truck driving in a farm field.
It never looked like overturning - very slow!!
The person picking up is an animal on the machine
Yes, thanks.
Showboating
If you insist!
@@balmesh ah in fairness was there need for the artic? Wasn't even completely loaded . Or all the trailers? It does look a bit staged!!
