Murud, popularly known as Murud Janjira is a coastal village located in the Raigad district of Maharashtra. Surrounded by ancient forts, sandy beaches, betel palms and coconut trees, this is one of the fastest growing tourist destinations in Maharashtra.
The prime attraction of this place is the Janjira Fort. The fort was constructed by the Siddi Dynasty in the 12th century. It is believed that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj tried six times to capture the fort and failed every time. It houses a mosque, many palaces, quarter for officers and a water tank. The other tourist places to visit are Murud Beach, Nawab Palace, Bassein Fort, Bassein Beach, Kasa Fort and more. Winter months from October to February are the best to visit Murud Janjira.
Murud-Janjira is the local name for a fort situated on an island just off the coastal village of Murud, in the Raigad district of Maharashtra, India.

Take a bus from Kalyan ST bus depot to alibaug and from alibaug take a bus for murud.
How to murud Pune to murud
There are ST buses from swarget ahe pune station
how to reach murud janjira from alibag
There is a bus from Alibaug bus depot which will drop you at Murud and then you can grab an auto for sightseeing.

Mumbai to murud ferry nahi hai.
Mumbai to mandwa hai then waha se aap alibaug aake alibaug se murud ka bus kar sakte ho.

Swargate se start hoti hai till murud bus depot.
Aur fir waha se auto mil jayegi till Janjira Fort.
Madam mai bhi Mumbai se hu ,thoda mujhe time schedule update kar denge kya ,kitne vaje boat aur return aur guide charge etc.
Subhe 7 baje se gateway se alibaug tak ki boat start hoti hai. Alibaug se apko murud ke liye bus ya rickshaw mil jayegi. Jab mai gayi thi tabhi guide waha nahi the but usually woh 200 rs lete hai
