What a great recounting of the way things were done with the horses no doubt closer to mustangs than a remuda so expect they had feet that were pretty well hardened to the terrane. I love to know what they did for hoof care such any shoeing or just left natural. As a horse with 4 saddles doesn't have much of a handle on them yet so this may be a task for later on, done by the cowboy that had it in his string. would love to know more about the hoof care side of these working horses.
Well, boots legend had officially reached Scotland. Wonder why the rest of the world don't handle cattle in a cowboy way. Mind you, these days here in Scotland... it would probably be protested out the door
