Experimenting with the ms 391. NOTES! The saw running leaner as it breaks in. I found the Strato port is TOO large on these saws. Cause TOO much air to enter the crankcase when rings break in. At WOT it puts pressure in the carb letting the metering lever in carb to close slightly. The problem gets worse when the saw breaks in. Good chance of why these saws blow up! Cutting hard maple aka sugar maple very tough to cut the saw want to keep jumping out of the wood! Cutting 16- 20 inch and a 30 inch log noodling at the end. Very tough and stringy to cut jumps like mad in the cuts got the carb set to 11800 -12200 right now for break in. IMPORTANT if you build a saw good idea to turn you high jet up slowly max is 13000 rpm I got it set at 12000.
