If you don't have vanilla syrup you can boil a cup of water and a cup of sugar on medium heat and once all the sugar is dissolved you add 3 tsp of vanilla extract and voila vanilla syrup

I feel kinda proud because I learned how to make my own kind of caramel frap by myself with no sources on how Starbucks did it I did it a bit different I was in Pakistan when I made the drink now I’m in quarantine so we don’t have the normal whipped cream We had a box of like dairy cream and I would add a caramel syrup so it would be sweet and some vanilla Eccles eve and mix with a spoon Then just make. Normal coffe To the bottom of the cup add ice and the drizzle on the sides of the cup Add the coffe And the dairy cream on top And on top of that all brown sugar and more caramel syrup

I have a frappe maker that brews the coffee directly into the blender pitcher. So yes, you can use hot coffee. But you're right, if you want a thicker texture, either use cooled/cold coffee or more ice. Xanthan gum helps as well.

Starbucks is just too expensive so that is why we make our own sadly. My favorite frappe was the midnight mint which I think I got on or around the winter time but they haven't had it since then and it sucks. I never knew they also had almond whip cream beat that starbucks.

Instead of regular milk I use Half and half, heavy whipping cream, and French vanilla creamer. With caramel sauce in the blender
