  • This is a taste test/review of the Cheesy Burger Papadia from Papa Johns. It has sizzlin’ beef, dill pickles, diced tomatoes, gooey cheese and burger sauce folded in fresh, never frozen original dough for a handheld flatbread-style sandwich. It was $6.99 and 840 calories.

One thing I think both this and the Pizza Hut melt could benefit from is having sesame seeds sprinkled on the crust to simulate a sesame seed bun.

I think I would just get the pizza over this. Reall though, if I wanted a Cheeseburger, I'g get a cheeseburger, like the QPC from McDonald's, or even better, from our local Kopp's or Mazo's. Thank you Kevin.

Gosh, the days of ordering over the phone for pizza or Chinese food or whatever was a nightmare! I have been ordering via computer or phone for quite a few years! I was really excited at the thought of this (great review, btw!) but was so disappointed to see basically no fillings except pickles. It's like they filled up someone else's and gave you the leftovers that fell on the counter (from that opening you mention!). What a shame. P.S. I always eat with napkins on me like a bib. I cannot eat without it getting on me otherwise.

Never understood the appeal of these, why wouldn't someone just get a cheeseburger instead?

Papa Johns lies. The dough is never frozen but it is not fresh. They do not make their dough on site. It is made elsewhere and it is delivered to more than one site. When it gets to the sites they put it into the refrigerators and it takes a couple of days to use it all up. Figure the day all that dough is made and the day or so it takes to get to the sites and then the possible number of days it takes them to use it all up and you end up with a crust on your pizza that is not a fresh crust. Now let me tell you that this is the story I was told by a manager at Papa Johns so I believe him but you don't have to.
