The future plan of this game is to turn it into a game based on Survival and Combat rather than focused on sandbox. For now, it is a normal voxel game with basic survival elements like health and crafting until I add more gameplay mechanics in future updates. "World Game" is a temporary name for now until I come up with a good name to replace it. Even with 2-3 months of me working on it, I didn't have enough time to add my own gameplay features and mechanics to differentiate and steer away from being just a generic minecraft ripoff. I gotta first make some of the core mechanics every voxel game needs before working on my combat/survival mechanics. At least I just recently started with survival mechanics.
This is really impressive. Usually this much content is spread into 5-6 devlogs but you've managed to do it in 1. Excited to see what this game turns into! Good luck!
tbh, the recording for the devlog is like 40+ mins with all the stuff I made since I started. I spent 5 hours removing all the unnecessary yapping and the changes that i think is not relevant or important enough.
It's good practice first and foremost. Secondly, it can be turned into any kind of game as the base voxel engine looks like its in place. It's common practice to recreate minecraft when making a voxel engine. I don't think this was made to be a "minecraft alternative"
