Tim you truly are Epic!!!! I had this exact same issue and it would even randomly open my door a few times. It was this exact issue!
Thank you sir. This was the solution to fix my opener! Much appreciated!
EPIC TIM! EPIC VIDEO!
Finally!!!!! Thanks!!!
Thank you for this video
Chamberlain/LiftMaster extended the warranties on these wall buttons. If you called chamberlain support, they would’ve sent you a new one free of charge no questions asked
That's funny, because when I called them after i filmed this they said 5 years max
@@EpicTim Mine was doing the same thing but chirping. I called them and they said they have extended the warranty for something like 10 years! I had a new one in about 3 days! Give them a call!

Had stormed go through nuking power out. After 3 days the power was restored but one of my garage control panels lost control with the door. I’m getting slower blinking of the command LED light. Could this be the same issue?
probably something different if it's not the same rate of blinking. it's fairly easy to pop it apart and check for board damage. i'd start there

Turned out to be fried logic board. Ordered used control panel and swap logic boards. Works perfectly. Logic boards on the new models are not like the one you have.
I hate it when my flux capacitor goes bad.
Door seems a bit on the heavy side, lol. Might wanna add some 1/4 winds to the springs.
I wouldn't engage the hand lock and the opener at the same time. Could end up with a tug of war that your wallet may lose.
My diode blew..Same result (flashing). Liftmaster is sending out a free 889LM. Will I have to reprogram everything? Great video BTW
yes
That blinking red light is not always a bad capacitor.
And another think you shouldn't have to catch your door if it's balanced properly. Just some extra tips
Mine isn’t flashing at all, though that has happened and Liftmaster sent me knew openers. In this case there’s just intermittent beeping and have no idea why. Both openers open and close the doors, so that’s not the problem. Any ideas?
Im not too sure, did you check the caps to see if they leaked onto the board?
@@EpicTim There was no leaking that I could see. I did some troubleshooting trying different solutions seen on YT and online. It did stop beeping, so I may have stumbled upon a solution, though I can’t honestly tell what is was...No matter, I really appreciate your response and thanks for your vids.
But how do you install the capacitor?
That's a different video for a different day
What if its only the yellow light blinking?
Not sure but Thier customer service is great if you call them
Your door is not balanced - Never disconnect it when it is open.
it's also not standard tracks anymore.... works great though!
Mine is buzzing red light on
I got nothing for you on that one, sorry
Schmoo... i guess we both watch AVE ;)
Hilarious
The garage door opener they produce today are absolutely pure garbage
