I used to watch Madagascar when I was little and this exact soundtrack alsways took my breath away. And I was todays old when I found out that Hans Zimmer created this insanely beautiful piece of music. I adore all of his work and to know that... It just makes sence. Hans Zimmer plays human emotions. He's a magician and his magic is music.
Check out the Hanz Zimmer: Live in Prague. He does this as part of a medley. It's a real kick in the pants live.

The first Madagascar movie will always be my favourite DreamWorks movie. I remember first watching it when I was 4-6 years old.

not only you i literally finished watching madagascar 1 less than an hour ago and i searched found this piece and have listened to it for God knows how long
This guy is like the Midas of movie soundtracks. He takes any simple, family friendly (madagascar in this case) or whatever kind of movie and turns its music into a masterpiece.

i agree! it's nice to have a steady, fast beat throughout. sometimes i try to subdivide so my left foot goes down on the whole beats and my right goes down on the "half" beats. sure gets my heart rate up on the exercise bike!
