You Tube - Slow down or "skim" a video

CZcams has become an everyday commodity, but there is still some things to learn to be able to use videos efficiently in a learning environment. For example, it can be a great advantage to be able to slow down the playback to really be able to catch the details, or sometimes play it back more quickly to revise or "skim" a video to find the information you are looking for.
There are few things as annoying as the video stalling when the Internet connection is unreliable, which is still the case sometimes, both in schools and when you are trying to learn while you are travelling. Then it is good to know that you can lower the quality of the playback to make it more stable.
This video shows a few basic funtions that both teachers and students sometimes miss.
Unfortunately, CZcams has taken away the "community subtitling" option, but the auto-generated English subtitles generally work well. If you want a particular video subtitle there is always the option of contacting the publisher, including a sub-title script, or why not record your own films!
Subtitles make life easier also for people with hearing impairment, who sometimes find it difficult to catch details of speech, particularily in a foreign language, but one shouldn't under estimate the learning that takes place when you hear the target language while reading subtitles in your own langage! For students that still don't feel confident in the target language i also instills self-confidence.

Det är inte alls nödvändigt med videor som är under 10 min, men det går att redigera in "timestamps" i videor och länka de i sin beskrivning av videon. Det gör att man kan sätta titlar vid olika tidspunkter och om någon trycker på den titeln så hoppar videon till den tiden. Det gör det mycket lättare om man behöver något specifikt från en video och har fungerat väldigt bra i bla matematik videor.

Jag har inte riktigt hittat hur man fixar "timestamps" än. Det stod något om att man måste kvalificera sig för det, men det har jag inte hunnit kolla på.
