In my opinion, sometimes it is difficult to differentiate between countable & uncountable nouns & thus creating the subject-verb agreement mistakes.
As a native portuguese speaker, this class is gold!
Thank you so much Alex. this video really helped me to correct my SV agreements frequent errors.
Thank you, Very useful session. there are really basic mistakes we often do.
Fantastic class that I have ever never seen.
i got 7 band in acadamic, just by waching videos on e2 language , thank you jay and alex
👍🎉💪 Well done!
Cqn you share your tips and tricks with me
You are the excellent teacher of english I have ever seen
exactly what I needed, grammar is the one I regret to avoid in the past
I recommend the book "Irregular Verbs. The Ultimate Guide" by Bryan Feldman.
I think "a lot of people" accounts for singularity because it is the lot the verb will stress on, not the people which the lot encompasses without itself.
done with speaking test and have my writing/reading test after two days.wish me Luck.your videos are amazingly helpful.thnks
I got listening 6.5
Reading 7.0
Writing 6.0
Speaking 6.0
Overall 6.5
Just by watching E2 IELTS videos
Thanks a lot
I am so thankful for your videos. You are the best IELTS expert
Jay is a fantastic teacher!
This is so helpful! Can't thank you enough
- A singular subject "needs" a singular verb (needs is a plural)
- Plural subjects "need" plural verbs (need is a singular?)
- Children(plural) "need" to be active (need is a singular)
- Many countries(plural) in the world "suffer" from famine (suffer is a singular / suffers is plural)
I don't understand why they are being used in the opposite way.
Isn't 'need' is singular, and 'needs' is plural ... and suffer is singular and suffers is plural
Can someone explain to me plz?
Ohh... It's just a phrase! (I'm familiar with +s and no 's' from my school days)
Today I learn something new!
Singular = verb + s
Plural = verb 1 (no s)
Thank you Alex and God bless you!
Thanx alex...indeed useful for the preparations.
Your style of teaching is attractive
I am watching your all videos nowadays, I have only 11 days and I am getting confident that I I can boost my score upto at least 6.5 from 5.5.

I have one 1 question . You said for countable noun use plural verb . But "decision " is countable noun and why use "affect" as singular verb . Please clarify .
Worth watching!!
That first one is tricky!!! Could we say “As urban population soars” ????
Although the video is very informative, I find it difficult to understand. I am looking forward to see more videos on this topic. Thank you.

@@E2IELTS The best tip I believe is to separate the ideas in the paragraph. Try to remain to the point for a particular paragraph. Understanding what each para is for helps in organizing ideas. This is something I was lacking in my previous test.
May i have your gmail ID. I want to send my essays for evaluation.

Superb
What is Blake Lively doing here? 😊 Thanks for the lessons. ❤️
The same thought crossed my mind
Amazing
I feel that the error in the prisoner sentence should've been the use of "they" in place of a singular prisoner. Instead it should've been "one/he/she" rather than correcting the verb.
That’s definitely an option. 👍 It is common, however, to use ‘they’ to represent ‘he/she’. It can become awkward to always write ‘he/she’ when the gender is unknown. Good spotting though! 🌟
Thank you very much for this useful video!
Could you please tell again why in sentence 5 : "All the recent research suggestS"? Is this because research is considered to be like IT?
Thankyouu❤️❤️
Very important aspect of writing section .....done in such easy way.....thank you ...
Good morning Alex, would you please explain to me why the 3rd sentence encourage need to be changed to encourages. Thank you
really its important topic, i have pig problem with grammar but i dont know what am i doing?
07:49 if gender of a person is not know, won't we use "it" instead of "they" ?
How can you count ocean ??🤔🤔🤔

Well organized and nicely cleaned home and work places, create a lot of positive results. Not only does it help to improve optimism and happiness, it also allows work to be done at a faster rate, thus saving time and increasing productivity.
Remove the commas from your first sentence and Mult wrote a good version of your sentence 2 👍
I am weak at vocabulary.
How can i improve?
Please help me by giving your valuable suggestion.
Do alot of reading, perhaps get more IELTS readings, pen down some of awkward words I mean vocabularies, then afterwards go to your dictionary. With time u would get better.
Doubt : Event if a prisoner has committed a serious crime, he/she deserves humane treatment?
Since prisoner is singular.
What the tens use in writing task 2 ? ..
Ocean countable !?
Why money is uncountable?
#lifesaver!
Hello I wanna ask if "we need to breathe, which impossibly could not happen without the help from the respiratory system" is that grammatically correct? Please answer
I ‘ve always thought “all” was a plural 😮
Hi
Can anyone tell me why "a lot of information on those websites IS incorrect", i don't understand
Information is uncountable 👍
@@E2IELTS thank u😊
Why 'money' fall under uncountable? please explain.
Great question! You can count dollars or pounds: 10 dollars, 50 pounds. But the word ‘money’ itself cannot be counted - we can’t say ‘I have one money’ or ‘I have many money.’ Hope that helps!
