I'm pretty sure that in the minute 2:40, Smith touched ahead of Eastin, but they showed Eastin instead of Smith

It also went unnoticed that in the exchange of back to breast, Eastin passed vertical, that it's also a dq

You're an idiot, she did a perfectly legal crossover

Actually it was just 5:41, she did a kick on her back. Ridiculous rule IMO.

Yohan LePape not in im it isn't! Thanks to the lochte rule you have to immediately turn over onto stomach. The rule has been repealed since

@@teddymurphey8707 It's not completely repealed, they just changed it so that as long as you're past vertical when you start kicking, you're fine.

On the freestyle flip turn they stayed on their backs to long underwater. It’s the lochte rule

I'm pretty sure that freestyle literally means that you can do whatever. Thats why some people swim 50 breaststroke or 50 fly

@@christophermattesky3504 Except when swimming IM. During your freestyle leg you can swim whatever you want except the three other strokes.Ryan Lochte figured he was faster while kicking on his back so he did that at the 2015 worlds after his breast to free. In response FINA sharpened the rules and really specified what you could or could not do and what they defined was a pretty unnatural way of doing the freestyle turn, thus leading to a bunch of people getting DQed, especially on the 400 IM, even though the debate was about the 200 IM. I believe that after 2017 they loosened the rules so that you only have to be past vertical once you start kicking.
In my mind what Lochte might technically have been backstroke, but it should have been allowed because it was in the spirit of the IM. The point is that you can't swim backstroke above the water, honestly it's baffling to me FINA came up with this rule. By this logic, dolphin kicking is obviously swimming butterfly, as you're doing the butterfly kick motion underwater and only flutter kicks on your breast should be allowed. FINA sucks!
