Personal finance education should be a requirement in high school.
I second that because I still haven't needed to know some of the useless crap they taught.
It is offered. Its called Dave Ramsey.
only 5% of students actually follow the steps of financial freedom.
It should but it won't because the powers that be want the people to stay poor.
Public schools are looking for slaves not bosses.
Absolutely! Back when I was in Bahrain during the Gulf War I was living there, in the American School run by the DoD, they were open to other nationals and a lot of mixed race Arab kids there were so smart. They had an investment class and a mock investment trading and that was out of the ordinary!
Anyone else learning even more by sifting through the comments?

Haha
I've started with fundraise April 2019. I put 10k and been adding various amounts throughout the years. Right now I'm sitting on just above 50k of which 13k are gains from appreciation and dividends. I hope that helps for those who are considering joining.
It All sounds Great and too good to be true can you withdraw your money is my question?!
Your so helpful God bless you and much thanks sweetheart!
@@LuisGonzalez-ht4pe If you need to withdraw sooner than 5 years, then this is not for you. It is long term investment. Remeber building long term wealth is a slow but steady process.
How do you invest into houses I'm new to it its nothing like landa I put 100 dollars in but it's not letting me invest Into anything. I live in Michigan so yes I'm a usa citizen a Russian American
@The Russian its crowdfunding. They buy a house, then cut it into like 10,000 pieces, and put take one piece from say 50 properties and put them into a bucket. You own the bucket of 1/10000 of 50 properties.
Would love to see a quarterly update! Appreciate the transparency and the willingness to dive into these platforms.
I have zero transparency.
@@RyanScribner update, please
Yes please, a quarterly update would be great. Thank you for all that you do, keep up the good work.
It’s awesome that you are bringing this content out to public on the things that should honestly be taught at schools. Financial literacy is key to financial independence and future! I guess we are on the same page when it comes to being on a mission to help people with their personal finances🙌🏻
So true, keep it up both of you!
The Wealth Project Will be my pleasure to continue🙌🏻
Very well and clearly explained, thank you so much, Ryan!
I've been looking to diversify into fundrise for a while. Pulled the trigger with your link today. Thanks

Great video! I’m exploring fundrise and this helps a lot.
HundredDolla Will lol thank you. It’s just my face 🙂
Thanks for this video Ryan. Always feels like you are genuinely trying to provide value rather than just creating videos for the sake of it like many in this space
Someday ima make some money,an I will thank you for showing me new ideas💯you help a lot.
Something absolutely necessary in your portfolio: czcams.com/video/Rr9eEIjMyU4/video.html
Hey Ryan. First of all, I want to say thank you. Watching your channel is what first got me interested in investing. From there, I started reading lots of books and learning as much as I could. Now I'm studying for my MBA/MS in Finance. However, I've run into a lot of issues trying to invest for myself as I'm an American living abroad. I'd love it if you did a video on investing for expats. Thanks again, man.

Updated and thanks for the video
yes, please do periodic videos about your fundrise progress. i'm invested in it as well.
Hey, great video and channel. Just curious how fundrise handled the recent covid-19 crisis and whether there's been a shake up in the portfolio. Ty
Thanks for the good video and transparency. I would like to see where this takes you quarterly, esp in comparison with the stock market.

Fundrise is a pretty cool way to invest in Real Estate. Especially for someone that wants to go the passive route.
I agree, you can definitely make better returns actively investing but then you also get the negative aspects like dealing with tenants etc.
The Wealth Project that is very true. There are Pros and Cons to both. I agree!
How about this specialized Real Estate Platform: czcams.com/video/Rr9eEIjMyU4/video.html. Having its own shares
That not passive income at all he barely making money i will not invest into crowfunding who going to but your shares when you want to sell them.
Yes please do a quarterly report, great lecture
Thanks really informative please update!!!
Thanks ryan. Idk if everyone wants a quarterly update on your Fundrise portfolio but I'd like maybe an update every 6 months; that being said this is meant for long term investors so defintely no rush.
Great video thanks for the information
Excelent chanel! I did find it right now! I am from Brazil and I will send this link to many! I realy thank you so much!
Love the video! I also have about $12k in Fundrise right now in their income eReit, returning about 8-9% annual return. It’s very steady and good money but I’m not actively contributing more because the money is taxed pretty high compared to stocks and the returns have been decreasing over time - used to be 11% return when I first started
ole ryan gonna hate your ass for speaking truth
Wheeler King haha just trying to forewarn him :)
8% is still better than any savings account plus inflation
Matt Gagnon yes true! Only thing is that I can’t easily pull the money out if I really needed it (vs savings account) so that’s why I would like a higher return - to accommodate the risk
@@personalfinance2377 I agree. I think I will use this though. Im young and dont have much money. I have my energency fund set aside. I was thinking of putting my future savings in it or some of it as I have no investing experience and don't want a higher risk. Would you say its worth it(
Thanks for sharing this Ryan. Just watching your video and reading a bit more about fundrise, it sounds like it operates very similar like Acorn (for stock & bond) where you choose your portfolio and the money invested go to different projects picked by Fundrise?? Would love to see your quarterly update. Thank you for putting this together.

Yes I would like a quarterly report. Thank You 😊
Awesome Ryan 👍
hi Ryan, this is such a helpful video. I'm a novice but I've been very curious about Fundrise for a long time. Can we just reinvest the dividends from the initial investment? I would need to start at the lower end starter option but the returns you mention are still WAY better the banks. Also, is there a monthly minimum auto invest post initial starter investment?
Hi. Please provide a quarterly update. There are not that many on Fundrise. Much appreciated!
I went long term growth. Patience is a virtue, and I will be investing more. Thanks for the video.

Would you invest in TOL stock or real estate REITs too because it's more liquid to withdraw?
Would be interested in quarterly update too! Thanks for information post. I just signed up in Fundrise this month and I thought of cancelling, but your. video convinced me otherwise. I will communicate with them that you convinced me to keep it active and will put in more $$$ like you. Thanks!!!!
Thank you.
Yes i would like to see them quarterly earnings
Hey Ryan can you add funds manually instead of automatic fund ??? Because am going to start investing in fundrise soon at the $500 level but I don’t want my money to be withdrawn automatically.
7.7% nice. One of my friends used Fundrise and got just below 8%. (7.9% to be exact). He wasn't happy because he said the expected return range was 8-10%. Missed it by 0.10%.
@@RyanScribner There's always those people out there!

Hi @Ryan! Def please do a review quarterly... I am actually at the same amount you have invested and will follow your great idea and start putting in more per month.
Thank you very much for the video. Can you please elaborate a bit on what you mean by your money "providing debt or equity"? Thanks!

Do you invest in bonds at all? I’ve put some money on some Vanguard bond ETFs, and a small amount on Worthy bonds.
Yes I would like to see what's going on with your fundrise account especially now with the Coronavirus I hope you're doing well

Normally your videos bore me to death with how much you talk, but this was a great walk through of this platform. I'd like to see quarterly updates to your portfolio. I think I'll use your link and sign up for an account. #GreatVideo
Awesome! We started roughly right around the same time, mine being April 2018. I initially put in $1000 and just let it sit there for a full year too before I became comfortable and started putting in $100 a month. In total, I put in $2100 and the value now is $2288.87. I am happy and comfortable with this small little growth of 8%. And just like you said, the stock market may do better some years but I just like having this extra bit of cushion.
LI wouldn’t mind seeing a quality quarterly post.
Hey Ryan please do a monthly update after additional funds added. Thanks

What do you think of SRET?
Hi good morning great presentation I would like if you can please show another presentation of your portfolio every quarter, thanks.
Good video. Simple, no nonsense. I appreciate that.
1% fee. Not bad. But what is your opinion on REIT ETFs? VNQ has an expense ratio of 0.12%. Hard to beat that.
As always, if you want to collaborate with your doppleganger (me), just holler. Keep it up Ryan.
Definitely was intrigued to see a Fundrise update! Been in Fundrise for a bit too, have you seen the enhanced K-1 based portfolio options with them? Always fascinated with all the options they have.
@@RyanScribner I think they have certain eligibility. If you're curious about seeing the information, feel free to reach out and would be glad to share as I have access to them. Been hesitant with them since they would produce a K1 instead of a 1099, but three additional portfolio options beyond the normal ones.

i want to add some a efund to my fundrise but the k1 has me scared lol. i see your k1 will be ready march 15th. i thought k1s came out later.
