    Great to see you posting TI content again! Just got to play this faction. Definitely a bit of a learning curve and I wasn't sure I was a fan before starting the game, but after playing them once, I'd play them again. The free stuff at the beginning of the round is a nice bonus.
    I think opponents can use trade goods to account for the mech's ability if they are invading a planet with one of your mechs on it instead of flipping planets, so it is something that has to be considered (but it never really stopped anyone from invading my Keleres planets, unfortunately.) 😕 I like your idea of bunching them up... Add the flagship and it could cost up to 5 influence/trade goods to try and take MR or a similar single planet system... 🤑
    Definitely a lot of levers and dials to tweak on this faction during the game set-up so it is prone to some analysis paralysis for new players. I think I would enjoy the start up choices more during my second run with them. Great video, as always!

    The commander does chain i think. Since the time window is when an action component was played perform an aditional action. Which makes the mentak hero a lot better because in dire need you can get 3 action cards and directly play them all in the same turn, after which you can still do an aditional action (since the hero action is also an action component). Also sling relay becomes an action you can always do before your turn, making it possible to sling in a ship before you move in to do battle which can be very nice. Paring it with the tech that can unflip 1 other tech makes for a Nice combo alowing you to do this twice each round.

      Also , one jmportant thing you didnt mention about the 2nd tech , you dont add a token to the 2nd production which means those ships are still free to move. Especially if that happens in MR it keeps you very flexible

      Also from an FAQ i understood that impirial only triggers if players use imperial to gain points from MR. The other abillity makes them score a public objective. Which then scores them a point but its not directly impiral that scores them the point in that case so that does not give you the command tokens.

      Full transparency, I wasn't completely sure and couldn't find a definitive answer on it, but I did assume as much myself.

      Oh, I see what you mean. I guess that's possible.

    Unfortunately, you can't use Xander to unlock Suffi. Xander is not an action card. Also, it can't be a Direct Hit or Sabotage; it has to be an action card with a Component Action (ACTION: Do such-and-such).
    Great video!

      Yeah, thanks. I didn't really listen to myself, did I? Is the UNLOCK a component action though? I can see why either outcome is true. It's ambiguous, maybe, which *definitely* never happened in TI before, eh? Lol!

      Wow, I did not expect to see a comment from you on a Twilight Imperium vid, Brother. Small world. 😅

    I was angling to play the Council of Calories last game but of course the first three factions chosen were Argent, Xxcha, and Mentak. It was easier to just pick someone else than try to figure out how to work it.
    Argent hero is definitely the most exciting of the lot, but it does rely on having the flagship out of play. If it's in play it's quite weak, being just a free move and two cruisers instead of a massive 14 Resources for free.

      @RulebreakerBoardgames  Před rokem

      Yeah, all 3 are very situational. Such bad luck there with the 3 factions blocking your choice!
