Eonni I watched a drama called Police University it is really good but I didn't heard about that and ghost doctor also. But they are worth to watch.

So I'm still a beginner and I've only been listening to bignner level podcasts, I listen to this and at first I couldn't understand anything but then I read the subtitles and found that I know all the grammar here there's just alot of new vocabulary that I didn't know, then I listen again and it became easy to understand...

That's incredible!! 🥳 It takes a little bit of effort and repetitive listening, but eventually you can follow along with intermediate material. Like you said you knew the grammar, it was just the vocab. Keep at it and you'll be able to follow with all of the intermediate podcast no problem!
I'm happy you enjoyed it and isn't "Something in the Rain" good?! It's always one my favorite shows to watch around this time of the year, it's so cozy! I have a lot of suggestions, so I'll make sure to do another episode!! 😁
The kdrama "봄밤" is very similar to "밥 잘 사주는 예쁜 누나". It has almost the same cast and it's also about a complicated romance. The overall mood and background music of both shows are similar. I really enjoyed them. "슬기로운 감빵생활" is one of my top favourite kdramas! I'm glad you mentioned it.
I loved 봄밤! The music in both of the shows are so good. Rachel Yamagata suited the show so well! 💕

Hey Hailey, it's absolutely lovely to see that you are doing intermediate content now. This is really great. I have a question. In the title "슬기로운 감빵생활" they use "감빵" to mean prison. The correct way to write that seems to be "감방" though. Do you know why it's written differently there? Thank you very much in advance :)

And good catch about '감빵'! My guess is that when the director was deciding the name of the show, he may have wanted to make it more fun and unique by purposefully misusing the word '감방'! I think it also feels more tough by making harder sound using ㅃ instead of ㅂ when you read the name, which goes along with the tough path the main lead is taking in the show!

1. How do you decide on a level a podcast has? Do you have experience in language teaching?
2. Do you find it harder for you to create easier content as a native speaker?
Great questions! When I was in college I studied Korean translation and interpretation, so it’s helped me gauge the difficulty of the text as I write the script. One of the things about my channel is that it’s not my intention to teach Korean, but rather to offer everyone fun and new ways to learn. Comprehensible input methods they may have not had other wise. I’ve been able to use my husband who is an intermediate Korean learner as well. Throughout the years of teaching him and helping guide him I’ve picked up on what might be appropriate for each level. At the end of the day, intermediate and beginner are very broad terms and are really just to guide you to a Korean level that you feel is appropriate. And I wouldn’t say it’s difficult to create easier content, there are some challenges, but like I mentioned I’ve read enough beginner content in Korean to have a gauge of the levels. I only hope that the beginner podcast can be comprehensible for most people that watch the channel. Thank you for the question and sorry this was long ㅋㅋ 🥹♥️
