독일에서 대학교를 다녔어요. 공부했지만, 스트레스를 너무 받지 않았어요, 공부는 치열하지 않았어요. 그때는 독일에서 한국 대학생이 많아서, 한국 친구들을 많이 사귀었어요. 그리고 한국어를 좀 배웠어요.

I'm really glad to hear that! Repetitively reading and listening helps a lot, keep it up! Growing up in Korea, Halloween wasn't really a thing, but it is becoming more popular. If all goes well, I do plan to make a Halloween/spooky themed video! Thank you for the suggestion!! 🥰

음, 한국 대학교보다 미국 대학교에서 공부하는 것이 더 쉬웠어요! 미국에서는 가끔 오픈북 시험도 있잖아요? 수업을 열심히 들으면 잘 따라갈 수 있었어요. 하지만 한국 대학교에서는 경쟁이 심했어요 🥺 항상 부담스러웠어요. 그리고 놀 것이 많고 유혹이 많았어요 😝
미국에서 언어 장벽이 있었어요. 그래서 교수님들을 자주 찾아가서 질문했어요! 그리고 미국 대학교에서 좋은 친구들을 사귀었어요! 😍 그 친구들은 착하고 말을 천천히 해주고 저에게 많은 것을 가르쳐줬어요. 그 친구들과 아직도 연락해요 !! 친구들과 수업을 같이 들었어요. 그래서 모르는 것을 친구들에게도 물어봤어요.
다른 언어로 공부하는 것은 생각보다 어렵지 않아요!! 매일 같은 것에 대해 공부하잖아요? 처음에 중요한 단어들과 문장들을 배운 후에는 수업을 듣는 것이 점점 쉬워져요 ☺️

Thank you for making this video. I have question what is best the way to study your podcasts as an absolute beginner learner. Should I read the transcript and translate sentence by sentence? Since as a beginner I won't know any words or phrases since i am beginner. Any tips please 😊
That's an excellent question! I think that intensive reading (looking up every word) can be beneficial. It helps you become very familiar with the content, but it can take awhile. I think the best way to learn and an excellent goal is to do extensive reading (knowing 80-90% of the word & continuously studying the material).
I would suggest doing intensive reading and look up words and practice them using Memrise or Anki. I wouldn't dwell on remembering some of the less common words that pop up, you'll learn them overtime (ex: resume or event from this video). By repetitively listening & reading and I mean a lot of repetition😅 You'll be able to follow along with the other videos no problem!! In a month or two of intensive reading, you'll able to hit the point where you can do extensive reading and enjoy the content even easier. I hope this helped!! With this line "시험을 잘 보기 위한 공부였어요" can you explain to me why "위한" was used instead of "위해".
Hi!! 위한 is 위하(다) + -ㄴ to describe ‘공부’ after, which is a noun! But 위해서 is 위하(다) + -서, which is used with verbs! Like ‘시험을 잘 보기 위해서 공부했어요’ 😄 hopefully that helps!!

That's a really good question and I know I ran into problems procrastinating myself. I think the thing that helped me fight procrastination was to just do the homework assignment early on after receiving the assignment or at the very least I would start it early on. If you start early on, it gives you less time to dwell on having to do the work and it gives you a head start for when you go to continue the assignment. Hopefully this helps, I know it's hard! 😥
