    LIGHTS FOR BED OF TRUCK
    LEDGlow 8pc White LED Truck Bed Lights illuminate the bed of your truck with the flip of a switch. You’ll be able to work after dark without having to hold a flashlight or plug in a portable work light. This truck bed lighting system includes two separate strands of 4 light pods with 6 LEDs per pod giving you a total of 8 pods and 48 ultra-bright white SMD LEDs.
    TRUCK BED LIGHTS
    Each 1.4 inch square truck bed lighting pod is 100% waterproof and only .20 of an inch thick making them extremely easy to hide, unlike the competition which uses a larger pod that may hang below the bedrails. Each truck bed light strand includes 2 feet of wire between each pod, totaling 6 feet of wire, and features 21 feet of power wire, giving you plenty of length when it comes to running the power wires into your cab and to the included on/off switch.

I wire them directly to the cargo lamp needed Lighting in the bed for hooking up and unhooking my 5th wheel at night excellent product still works today.....

    After having these I could never live without them. A few suggestions after having these for a few years- I was able to mount at a 45 degree angle in my 2000 f150 so I have even coverage. I noticed in the vid there was a dark spot in the middle. It may sound nit picky, but once something is a foot off the bottom of the bed there will be near zero light on it. I made an angled piece for right over the wheel wells (the sides bump in there so vertical is the only option) after realizing mounting flat to the passenger side shines directly in my eyes, standing where i switch it on (Mine are switched at my tool box at the front of the bed) These are super bright so there goes night vision for a minute after when you look at them straight on.

Yes, a few pointed out that the wire should be covered with wire loom under the cab and I would have soldered the spade connectors but I would imagine someone with no experience could follow this well done video. You can tie the two black wires together and ground them to any screw that threads into the metal of your car or you can ground the two wires to two different metal sources. It really doesn't matter what location you ground the wires to, but it must be a bare metal surface or else the kit will not turn on.

      Tracy Williams If you’re looking to wire the kit to your 2013 Super Duty’s upfitter switches, you will need to rewire one of the switches to a constant power source so you will be able to use the truck bed lighting kit whether the truck is on or off. We have a similar truck here and the upfitter switches are powered by a switched source so they will only work with the key on. If you’re looking to avoid rewiring one of the switches, you can run a separate power supply like you suggested. If you have any other questions or concerns don’t hesitate to ask!

    I have purchased the kit, and want to wire it to my cargo lights how would this be done

    • @ledglow
      @ledglow  Před 9 lety +6

      Daniel Puglia If you want the truck bed lights to turn on with your cargo lights then you will simply wire the power and ground wires from the truck bed lights into the cargo lights switch itself. Let me know if I can help with anything else!

    How do i hook it up to one of my uplifter switches on my 05 f250

    • @ledglow
      @ledglow  Před 9 lety

      joesmk14 If you have factory uplifter switches, confirm the exact locations from the service manual (usually under the steering column) and wire the lights directly into the switch wire leads. Let me know if you have any other questions!

    and if the truck does not have auxillary power switches? then what?

    • @ledglow
      @ledglow  Před 7 lety

      Any after market switch can be added to the kit as long as you connect it to a 12v power source.

    I wired my lights (same exact style) similar to this but instead ran the switch to the rear of the bed. The lights go on when I hook it to the battery but as soon as I flip the switch it blows the fuse. What did I do wrong???

    • @ledglow

    A wire protection tube would prevent chafing of any wires so you don't have to go hunting for a short and end up replacing all of your work. Why not make it last? :-)

    I have a question, how can I mount that switch you installed to the actual truck bed?

    • @ledglow
      @ledglow  Před 5 lety

      Unless you have a cap on the truck, we don't recommend mounting the switch in the bed because of the possibly for it to get wet.

    Unfortunately we do not offer a multi-color option of this truck bed lighting kit, but I can assure you that this kit can take a lot of abuse. The pod lights are waterproof, extreme freeze tested and are virtually indestructible. Check out our product video to see for yourself! Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns!
