nice pick ups mate. If you want a mettroidvania recommendation it would have to be Ender Lilies. The Switch physical copy is not cheap because it was from limited run but it was one of my favourite games of last year. Don't let the cute art style fool you because it is, a dare I say a hidden gem.
I'll be adding these to the to buy list. I would recommend Kunai. Its a fast paced action platformer where you are a ninja tablet in a post - apocalyptic world. Btw awesome video mate👍🔥

i just bought alien infestation for the nintendo ds. i bought a 2 ds and wanted to comlete the collection of 3ds and ds games to a nice one. after i watched so many hidden gems videos for nds, i recognized: thats it. now i came back to switch hidden gem videos. i just watched 3-4 videos now. no one had the same titels. thats the first thing. but the main thing: man videogameproductions seem to be on top these days! the switch blows everything away what was before, bro! ;)

It’s nice to see that it’s come down to a good price. Though I’ll likely get it for my beloved PS4. The last one, I’m not gonna try and spell it, is another one that I’ve had my eye even before it’s release partly due to it being released in the states via LRG. 100% a game that I’ll get in the future. If you enjoy Infernax, then you should definitely check out Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon I & II. Some of the best retro inspired games ever, especially if you enjoy the Castlevania series.

I still need to play Infernax!!! it has some really cool cheat codes too. remember those 😮 I really wanted to like gear shifters, but it played like a flash game :( Dread was a great time! but the graphics were a bit too clean for me, if that makes sense! Hotshot racing is amazing! i love how all the cars feel like different arcade racers of the past! Getsufumaden Famicom Box art has a really cool lenticular cover. id have loved to have seen the new game with it too. im still waiting for it to drop to about £15. im too cheap. lol great games! All played better on the Ps4 of course ;)
I got a steal for the switch myself this week. I got 2 copies of Thems Fighting Herds for the switch for 15 euro delivered and cex over here in ireland trade it in for 14 euro. So my copy effectively cost 1 euro and I get to use the rest in cex towards something else. Also found the cleanest copy of The Getaway for ps2 in cex I have ever seen. Manual is shimmery, poster/map is crisp and the disc is so clean. That was only 4 euro so I'm happy with my pickups this week
Oh man, hot shots is a cracking game, I was the exact same, wanted a game to fill that horizon shaped hole in my life. It is brilliant, but different from Horizon 💙 I have never ever beat a metroid game 😬 Infernax looks good too man. Nice adds 👍
So I've always known about the metroid series but never got into it as a kid. I bought dread and boy was that an experience. Through hours of getting my ass handed to me I managed to get to the last boss. I felt so sad that I was at the last boss that I haven't even beat him yet. It's like part of me doesn't want the game to be over :(
I myself didn’t get on with either Metroid game, a shame cos I wanted to like them. Hotshot racing is gonna be a pick up for me for sure! Huge racing fan and only really got Mario Kart on switch… want need for speed hot pursuit too
Infernax is great. If you put the konami code in at the title you can play it like contra. Def the best way to play it imo haha. Hot shot racing is also a top title. Gets stupid tough though. I got the 100% but it caused a bit of shouting at the TV
I do like to some Switch pick ups 😊. Infernax I've not put any time into it yet but it's very much a homage to Castlevania 2 on the NES. Gear Shifters i couldn't really get on with. I dunno. Controls seemed a bit too sluggish for my liking. Maybe you have to upgrade your vehicle so it responds better but for me it put me off. Metroid Dread is top. Nothing else to say really. Hot Shots you could of bought on Amazon new for 11 quid. I picked it up recently myself as prior to this one i had a spanish copy as the initial UK release was just a code in a box. (I did a video covering that) Getsufumaden actually has two games in one. It also comes with the original famicom game which is an excellent Castlevania type. I was really happy it came with the original as i really like that one too. There's a CE edition which is most likely what you saw for 55 quid. And there is a standard option. Overall some great choices Callum 🙂👍
