Thanks for taking your time and sharing. Your step by step instructions make it look easy. With a little practice I think I can do it!
One of the clearest tutorials i have ever seen. Thanks for sharing!
Oh yay!
Just found this video but it is 💯 complete information and great presentation for this task👏
Glad you enjoyed it!
I have been doing this for years. It is almost idiot proof, and you are the first person I have found whuke searching youtube for this method. I draw the fly extensions on to any pants I will cut out. Easy peasy I never knew about the fly extension in the past, so did not use it and don't miss it.
Okay, quite a newbie and have never done a zipper, so this step by step has clearly shown its just another process. I feel less scared - thank you!
That's great to her!
I made my "trial" Mitchell last week, The written instruction very easy to follow. I found this video very educational. I found many tips and clarification that I will use when I stitch the "real" pants. Your front crotch surger seam and cutting away of the outer fly front before surgering were both excellent suggestions. Thank you please keep making these educational videos.
That's great to hear!
Thank you!❤
You're welcome 😊
Excellent tutorial, thank you!
You're very welcome!
Well done, thank you so much for all the tips.
Glad it was helpful!
Super well explained. Going to try it. Do you also do this for jeans? No interfacing needed on stretch denim fly extensions?
You only need to interface stretch fabrics on the fly extension, unless you're sewing a drapier fabric like wool. Sturdy fabrics like twill + canvas don't need it.
Hi -- does anyone know what Heather Lou is wearing ... is that a Closet Core pattern top? Looks like a sweatshirt, but a bit elevated. 😀
And thank you @closetcore for the tutorial, too!
It's a RTW sweatshirt that our Mile End pattern was inspired by
