I'm a guitar player I am just getting into bluegrass and I have a cheap Ibanez mandolin that barely stays in tune. This was the first time I actually sat down for a real lesson and learn a tune. I don't even know this tune and I played along! So much fun! GREAT lesson and great format. I really like you how take it in bite size pieces and playing along with the track was great. Subscribed! Thank you for this. I play guitar and banjo, and I’m trying to learn mandolin and teach my wife to play mandolin as well. This is the best explanation of the relationship/relevance of scales. I have always struggled with how to use a scale; it always seemed like pointless exercise work. You broke it down really nicely.
