- 🚀 Our 'Blender Animation Course Kickstarter' was super duper successful with over 440 students! 🎉 Next time we open spots is mid 2022. If you'd like to stay in the loop with course updates and free animation tips, join our newsletter! :) 🔵 www.toanimate.ca/
We've been working on hard on this cinematic for several months now, and we're finally ready to share it with the world. This was made entirely by TOAnimate instructors as a promotional video for our upcoming Blender Animation Course, now live on Kickstarter!
The cinematic was made only using assets available in our Animation and Mentorship packages. It's meant to entertain but also show you what our team is capable of and what you can learn by studying with us.
If you enjoy what you see, it would mean a lot to us if you could share it with your friends and family! 💜
Special thanks to:
Ryan Maxwell for the awesome music and sfx
Mandela Smith for 2D character designs
Christine Kwok and Jordan Barg for tons of feedback all through out!
Tyrel Scott for initial 3D character concepts
Puneet Jagwani for the Hoverboard model.
Max VA: Sean Letourneau
May VA: Claire Glover

🔥 Hey guys, our Blender Basics course is now LIVE!
⏩ If you're an Animator who's been wanting to learn Blender, we've made this comprehensive course for you www.toanimate.ca/
what is the total duration of the preliminary plan?
@@yaojixian4900 It's hard to say without having recorded everything. And honestly it shouldn't be a factor. The lessons will take as long as they need to take, there won't be a limit. You can however check the preliminary curriculum on the Kickstarter page. It's all the way at the bottom. It's sure to grow over time, specially with students making suggestions.

Thanks Paul!
I just bought the full animation course. I can't wait to "git good" at this. ^^
Dude you are very good, I admire your work and I'm your fan, I will share your content here in Brazil. : )
Thank you for the kind words Edson!
maybe you can share with me too 🤲 ...
I love that cinematic! Can’t wait to learn so much from the course!
Worth the wait, will we be learning some performance animation not just body mechanics (even though I struggle a lot with it) haha
Thanks!
Yes, we'll be covering a lot of Lip sync and facial animation as well, since it's something a lot of artists struggle with!
Cool) Amazing) Animations on top level by instructor! Interesting to see students results before buying ) I wish you success on selling that course)
Cascadeur physic AI & the Blender animation tools in comparision would be cool...for what is Cascadeur usefull and Blender .
This looks really good.
This looked great I'm so happy and proud of all the hard work ToAnimate the instructors all rock I'm just waiting on payday yall :D. I showed this to my wife and she liked it as well.
2022 will be great for animators and Very Busy as well overall.
Awesome, glad you and your wife liked the cinematic!
2022 will be very busy indeed!
Ah, it is already past midnight over here in Singapore - it's a work day so have to hit the bed now. Won't be able to catch this when it's launched - bummer.
Ah no! The launch is in 38 minutes!
👏👏👏
Awwwwsome !!!!
It looks like a League of Legends video, would not be surprised if you worked at Riot or something
Now that's an elite compliment! Haha thank you 😁
omfg 😍😍😍😍
After watching this, one : this is a great animation good job^^
And two : This is definitely what I need because I have always copied without being able to create on my own. I'm afraid to move forward and fail. I think this course will help me in the animation and that is, to be able to create characters on Zbrush without copying a course^^
See you later ^^
This is so amazing!!! Why am I so broke 😩😭
😭😭
nice .
Get your credit cards ready cause it’s gonna get crazy real fast 🤣
😂😂 the stress is real
good.
after buying the ALIVE the most extensive course on animation to date for beginners and intermediattes i am hoping this one would be jsut as awesome. not really a beginner now lol but yeah this looks interesting for more animation exercises
Pierrick definitely did an awesome job with Alive 😁
is adding the lip syic or only body animation
We'll have a focus on lip-sync and facial as well, a lot of people have requested that.
Are we there yet!?
🥲 We've been working on TOAnimate everyday for the past 2 years. Blender Basics is done and live, and we just uploaded the second last video for the beginner section of the Animation & mentorship courses. We have to create another 55 videos to wrap up the Animation & mentorship courses
We'll allow our Blender Basics students to upgrade their package at the end of this year, and we're estimating to do a public release by around February of 2023.
is there any english subtitle on the video lesson/course?
There isn't at the moment, but once we're fully done with the courses, subtitles will be something we'll start working on.
How you open rigs with reference
Could explain this real quick plsss
Hey As we purchased the course, Can we use Maya Rig for commercial purposes :)
I'm afraid TOAnimate rigs are purely for educational purposes, and are not meant to be used for commercial.
The characters are the faces of the TOAnimate brand, and go hand in hand with our image as an educational platform. hope you can understand.
I am going to back up for the animation course, but it is saying that rewards/ reimbursement isn't guarantied. Is this something I should be worried about?
Hey John, thanks for your interest! I believe that's something Kickstarter says about any of its projects, since they mainly host projects that aren't yet done, like ours. So it's a general warning, but we're 100% going to be finishing the courses. The only risk is that the timeline may change slightly. Mainly because we're continuously adding new lessons 😅
Our original plan was 23 lessons for blender basics, but now we're well past 40 lessons for that package alone haha
Ahh very nice,
I also had a question , in the future when the courses are all out , will there be a way separately to get acess to feedback sessions or is that just for the mentorship package , it's just as I am doing this a a self teaching thing as I am currently at university for game dev but it is very heavy programming and I have been self teaching about 3d art and blender ect for a year and a bit now
Sorry for the rant , thanks for the confirmation
@@JohntheWeir509 No worries at all, yes TOAnimate members will absolutely be able to purchase feedback sessions, even if they did not purchase the mentorship package.
Best of luck on your studies!
@@BrianKouhi thank you that settles it then , I am gonna go for it
@@JohntheWeir509 welcome aboard! 😁
Am interested in this course but i can't find payment details. And information on how i will access the resources once i pay.
Hey,
The Blender Basics course is available for purchase, but the Animation Course isn't complete yet. Our estimated release date for it is mid-March of this year. We'll be releasing more detailed information in our coming newsletters!
The buttons underneath each course will lead to the enrollment page, showcasing more information as well as a curriculum (Animation Course button will activate mid-March): www.toanimate.ca/animationcourses
Hey I'm really interested in buying this course but I just had a doubt which I want you to clarify. So if I buy the basic course, I won't get to learn any Animation right? So I'll just be learning the basics of Blender if I buy the basic course, is that correct, please answer
Hey, that is correct.
The Blender Basics teaches how to use Blenders animation tools professionally, but won't include any animation fundamentals or assignments.
@@BrianKouhi Thanks a lot for your quick reply. I also wanted to ask, will you be teaching the complete rigging process in any of your Blender courses? By complete rigging I mean, rigging a Character from start to finish, will you be teaching that?
@@thegameseriesop1300 That is considered rigging and not Animation, which is an entire profession of Its own. That being said, we've been requested to create a rigging course by a ton of people. And so once we're done with our Animation courses, Vlad (our Technical director behind the rigs), will create a TOAnimate Rigging course.
The rigging course likely won't be done until late 2023 though.
Hope this helps!
Man, I am really interested in 3d models and animation- but I have no idea how to start, and at 16 I can't spend money to take a course yet :(
Sir will you teach to create same this video or just basic.
Hey Sohail, our Animation Course will focus on giving students a strong animation foundation, so that they're able to create any kind of shot in any setting, instead of copying one particular animation.
God, that animation is cringe and fun. I love it!
The course looks affordable too. :D Tho the key selling point "bring the stories and ideas in your head to life" doesn't actually ring with me :v. My brain is a void of those, only moths and flickring lightbulbs. Lol.
Nice stuff all the same by the looks of it. Hope for the best for you!
Hey there, I'm very interested in buying the course. But I'm a bit worried as I am quite a beginner. Would you say it's necessary to have worked with Blender for like over 6 months already or to have been made high quality animations with other software already to follow the course? Im somewhat looking for an entry point on how to create good animations with Blender as I often find myself frustrated with tutorials I can't follow because my Blender version already has different features and UI etc.. Would I be in the same sitatution with thise course as Blender changes so often?
Hey, Great questions!
The Animation Course (estimated to release winter of this year) comes with our Blender Basics course (Released a couple of days ago), which covers all of the basics of Blender's Animation tools.
Here's the launch video for that: czcams.com/video/OrhJFlkb2R0/video.html
Our courses are made for beginners. Even if you run into any issues with a lesson or get stuck, we have a community of nearly 500 course members, as well as instructors to answer your questions.
We also update our courses best we can, and if we miss something, students can let us know about a feature that should be added. Just today we updated 5 of our Blender Basic videos due to feedback and Blender 3.2 coming out!
Lastly, we allow students to upgrade internally, so if they purchased Blender Basics, and would like to purchase the Animation Course once that's out, we'll deduct the price of Blender Basics from the course they're upgrading too.
Hope this helps,
Let me know if you're curious about anything else :)
@@BrianKouhi Thanks for your reply! That sounds about right. I will look into the beginners course and then probably buy the animation course too once it's released. Have a great weekend!
wow this is impressive, is there a course to learn how to do all the animation? I use blender for work but I have wanted to learn animation for a long time, do you have such a professional course for animation? Not only the basics, I want everything complete. aahhh pls
Thanks a ton for your interest!
TOAnimate IS an animation course. We have Blender basics for Animators (which is released), but we're also working on a full on animation and mentorship course that's set to be done and released by the end of the year.
Blender basics is included in all of the packages, so we allow students who own blender basics, the option to upgrade to the animation course (once it's done). And we'll give them a $95 discount.
Hope this helps clear things up,
Cheers!
@@BrianKouhi ok, i will look forward to the master course
Salam Dadash Chetoori ? man az iran chetor mitonam bkharamesh ?
How do I join the course??
Hey, we're aiming to have our full launch in fall of this year. If you'd like to stay up to day, you can sign up for our newsletter, on our website. www.toanimate.ca
Why does the $47 USD package and the $59 USD package offer the same exact things when they have different prices??
Hey, If you're talking about the Blender Basics package. The cheaper one is the exact same. We had 3 prices for each package. Early Early bird, Early bird, and final prices. The cheaper price you see is the leftover of the early early bird, with limited spots left. I added the second price one, just because there were only a few spots left on the cheapest package. Hope this clears things up :)
@@BrianKouhi it does clear things up, but does not endear me to the project at all. I withheld purchasing the cheapest one while it was there since I was confused by that. Now it is gone. However, after also reading more it seems the $47/$59 dollar one doesn't teach anything about animation itself? Is that true? I had been thinking of buying bloops animation course, but then saw yours was coming out so I held off from buying theirs. However, theirs for $67 does teach all the animation portion of it, which is why I would be confused if your $47/$59 one did not include the animation portion. If this is true, can you please explain why yours would be the better choice for animation if the $290 is the price tag for the animation portion verse bloops $67 price tag. I want to make sure I make the correct choice.
@@yetilee The Blender Basics package is intended for people who are already proficient in animation at some level and whose main interest is to learn Blender. It will cover all the tools animators need and use on an everyday basis when creating their own shots. The animation package is more expensive because not only it contains everything from the Blender Basics package, it also includes over 75 animation lessons, rigs, props, sets, dialogue clips etc, and lifetime Blender support. People who purchase the course will be getting any new lessons and assets added to the course for free.
I'm sorry to hear that you missed out on the early early bird packages. Please feel free to study all the information on our Kickstarter page to make the best decision for yourself. I've heard good things about Bloops course as well, it just depends on what you'd like to get out of a course and what sounds better to you.
I have a basic knowledge of animation in blender. so I don't think I will need that Blender Basics Course. but I cant afford the mentorship program. HOW MUCH WILL I GET FROM JUST THE SNIMATION COURSE? COS I AM REALLY INTERESTED.
The Blender Basics will be included inside of the Animation Course, and we highly suggest students to make their way through it before embarking on the animation course. We go through a ton of essentials, hotkeys and workflows in that course.
The Mentorship won't actually be available on launch, and will likely have some open seats mid-way through this year.
The main difference between the Animation Course and Mentorship is that you have the option to get some guaranteed feedback on your exercises from instructors. Only 5% of our current students are in the Mentorship program, and majority in the Animation Course.
We're aiming to create the most comprehensive animation course on the market. So to answer your question, a ton! :)
Does the course have subtitles?
Hey,
Subtitles will definitely be something we'll be working on once the course is fully doke. But for now, there aren't any subtitles.
how long is the tutorial duration in this animation package?
It depends on each tutorial and how long each lesson takes. There's no time limit per video. Some will be 5 minute tutorials, some 30+ minutes.
WILL THE COURSE BE DOWNLOAD?
The course will be streamable on teachable, with a PDF handbook for each lesson, right below the video.
bro where is the link to learn this course
Hey, did you mean to the Kickstarter? If so, it should be the first link in the description.
@@BrianKouhi whow bro nevermind. i cant afford you guys
@@justicemagagane5737 Luckily I'll be uploading free tutorials on CZcams for the foreseeable future :)
Can you help me to buy a pc for 3D animation?
I actually have a video on this! czcams.com/video/xLmcat11mfo/video.html
The course has the following subtitles?
Hi Walter, the course lessons don't have subtitles yet but we will be adding them as we go! It just takes a long time so you'll have to be patient with us.
still showing comming soon ?
Should be fully up as a video now! :)
Really wish I could afford it, but almost 400 is steeper than I can handle
I'm ready if it's free
The prices are up on the Kickstarter page for each package, otherwise you can still enjoy my YT content for free, that won't be stopping anytime soon 😁
Me knowing this ain't Free
It’s just a prank bro
