Wow I heard this song for the first time today while I was driving. I turned this song up as loud as it could go. I was in my own little zone. This song is so uplifting and made me feel so much better!! I love Heavenly Father more than anything on this earth. I know I will rise through everything with Heavenly Father by my side.
My mother passed away almost 2 weeks ago. This song gives my strength each day as it perfectly describes as she rose March 15 out of this life and into the Glory and Presense of The Lord our God. I can only imagine what she saw and heard at that moment. This song is as close to what we can imagine, and I'm so thankful for suck.a song. This song hit home for me when he said "no more sorrow, no more pain" I almost cried. God is too amazing to put into words but those two lines came as close to the definition of God as you can get.

My mom died on July 25th 2013 after two years of colon cancer- it was a huge shock for me and my family, as colon cancer and any other types of cancer don’t run in my family- but God is faithful- I asked Him for two years for her; she was given two years and one month after diagnosis- even though I knew inevitably she was going to pass, I didn’t want to face it- twenty four days before she died, I’d given her the truth, regarding Jesus and the saints; she had previously been catholic, though didn’t really seem to practice it- she asked me why the saints aren’t hearing her; I told her they’re not going to, (because) Jesus; I wish I could remember what else I had told her; I had never seen her look so intently as she she did to me that day- twenty four days later she took her last breath, and the day i didn’t want to come, came anyway- my mom was like my best friend- on that day, family gathered to see her one last time, and part of this song came to my heart, mind; i didn’t know what it was called then, but after googling the words of the song that came to me, I listened to it and it perfectly fit and also assured me- some people may disagree with me about a sinners prayer, and that’s ok- I’m not here for that- if, and they should be, a person is given the gospel, the gospel of Jesus Christ that saves, that is sharper than any two edged sword (Hebrews 4:12) Romans 10:9-10; Gods Word, Spirit and power do what man could never do- though when I hear this song i still cry, thinking of her, His Spirit, His voice, tells me I’ll see her again- ❤❤🎚️

This song makes me think of "It is Well with My Soul". This hymn also has one of the most tragic back rounds possible. Spafford was a successful lawyer who had a significant amount of his property burned to the ground during the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. He was also hit hard by a downturn in the economy in 1873. He planned to head to Europe with his family but business keep him behind so he sent them ahead. The ship sank and all 4 of his daughter survived. His wife sent him back a telegram saying "Saved alone". As he traveled to meet his grieving wife and his ship passed near here his daughters died he began to write down the lyrics of the famous hymn, "When peace like a river attendeth my way, When sorrows like sea billows roll, Whatever my lot, Thou hast taught me to know, it is well with my soul, with my soul.

I really believe that every once in a while , God comes down and touches some musicians and gives them a touch of Greatness. God decided to come down and touch Chris Tomlin with divine inspiration. His stuff is so simple, with often just a guitar or piano but it is out of this world!
