First of all, thanks for giving us the controllers view of this crazy operation.
And this is great, because it confirms some of the things I talked about in my July 20 video about analyzing AirVenture ATC from a pilot's perspective.
I'd love to hear from controllers about how the new longer approaches to Fisk worked this year. Did that make your lives better or worse in ATC? Did you have people ignoring the initial muster point and just trying to slide in at or near Ripon?

Completely understand if on a short final but very curious about how you handle inflight emergencies?
Divert to an alternate airfield so it doesn't interrupt flow?
Emergencies are handled the same way they are every day across the country. The aircraft in distress becomes the number one priority and anything they need, they get. If that means closing down OSH airport and letting them land while other aircraft are forced to divert, then that’s what will happen.

it looks like “half mile south of Fisk” means half mile south of the table and trailer not the town.
No, it’s a half mile south of the town.
Wish I could attach a pic, but Google maps show 44 running south of Fisk, the RR track passing north of Fisk. So if you fly right above the RR track, you’d be a lot closer to the Fisk approach ATC.
@@woodenbat4054 Nobody is needing 0.50000 on the nose. It’s an approximation.
it’s true. nobody’s asking for 0.50000000 miles. but north of Fisk and south of Fisk seems important. I’ve seen videos of people not sure if ATC is talking to them or not. It’s easier if they’re in a line so they can see if they’re next or not. but a lot more difficult if they’re not regularly separated.
