    Incredibly impressed by how detailed you get on reviews. Instead of just "this seems like it sucks up material well" and "this seems quiet", you've applied OBJECTIVE metrics by weighing out material picked up and using decibel meters etc. Most of us hope to not have to buy vacuums on a regular basis, but I'm definitely coming back to your channel the next time I do need one!

    We got one as a deep cleaning carpet vacuum. The huge amounts of material in the dust barrel after one room was vacuumed shows just how atrocious our similarly priced barrel vacuum was. It picked stuff up of course and made the carpet look clean, but it wasn’t getting down into the pile nor removing the tough fluff stuck to the carpet.

  • @zephyr332
    @zephyr332 Před 3 lety +5

    I have this vacuum and it seems to be holding up pretty well, although the hose (at the handle) seems to want to keep popping out of the socket when the hose is being stretched on the stairs. I think if the hose was a bit longer it would be better. But I think this vacuums biggest NEGATIVE is in the duster attachment. It's not able to be used (conveniently) as a hand-held device and either way, it's shaped at such an awkward angle that it's hard to use even under the easiest conditions! In regards to performance and ability to deep clean my carpets, I LOVE it. It does EXTREMELY well, even under some heavy circumstances! It's also easy to use (on carpets) and maneuver. On floors, it's good for picking up some dust, but not all, and it seems to do well with picking up the cat fur from the floor. It also does a reasonably good job from picking up the kitty litter from my hard wood tiled floors. Filtration?? It's not bad, to be honest. I've seen other vacuums that cost twice as much and don't do much better. However, do prepared to constantly clean the filters for best results. I use my Shop Vac to vacuum them out.

  • @UnixGoldBoy
    @UnixGoldBoy Před 5 lety +6

    I got one of these a few months ago for our beach rental house. It seems to pick up sand really well on carpet, but that clear plastic dust bin looks so scratched up inside from the sand spinning around inside the bin even after the first use. I was going to replace it with the Hoover Hushtone because I thought it would do better for sand pickup, but now I'm just going to leave it alone since your test proved it was good at this. We get lots of complaints from renters about how dirty the carpets always look. It's definitely the sand that makes them look dirty.

  • @edwardboot3431
    @edwardboot3431 Před 4 lety +3

    Wow there is a YT channel for everything these days! Well I gave you a sub. :) I just bought this vacuum a few days ago and was just curious what others had to say (and also was looking up using the pet hair turbo attachment). I actually love this vacuum so far. I have extremely dirty pet carpets. I have a Siberian husky that is not only notorious for shedding, but she's a big mess maker. She finds pieces of wood (I don't know where from) and shreds them to pieces, she rips toys apart and gets cotton balls all over the floors. So, I put vacuum cleaners through their paces! So this Bissell. It's not quite as potent as some of my vacuums in the past, but it definitely gets the job done. I love the super bright LED lights on the front, the best lights I've ever had on a vacuum! I have a huge plus about the front of the vacuum being so low to the ground. My dog leaves toys laying *everywhere*. My Kenmore would very easily suck that stuff up and get clogged instantly. This vacuum pushes everything away nicely, none of her toys or anything have gotten stuck in it so far.
    Another huge plus is how the hose assembly all disconnects. If you're a pet owners like me, you've probably had crap get stuck in your hoses. This thing is super easy to take apart and clean obstructions out of. It feels to me, like this thing was definitely created with pets in mind, and not just in the name. One of the negatives for me, using the removable wand or turbo attachment, the vacuum falls over easy.
    I would agree with other comments here, the vacuum does feel a little "cheap" compared to my more expensive vacuums in the past. Just like, lighter/cheaper plastic parts. But time will tell how it holds up. I've spent over $1,000~ on vacuums in the past 10 years (a Dyson upright and a Kenmore 600 series). They don't last more than 5-7 years. The Dyson was actually the worst. The power switch broke multiple times, the attachment to hold the canister broke multiple times, the hose cracked easily. I'm done buying expensive vacuums. This was $200 bucks at Wal-Mart.

    • @papathunderbird5042
      @papathunderbird5042 Před 2 lety +2

      Hi Edward, I also have Huskies and wanted to know if this vacuum is still holding up?

    • @edwardboot3431
      @edwardboot3431 Před 2 lety

      @@papathunderbird5042 hey there, thanks for asking. I would not recommend buying this vacuum! It honestly did not hold up more than 3-4 months. It significantly lost its suction when using the beater bar. There's nothing stuck in it, either. It smells like it's burning up the last time I used it. It's just cheap junk, I take back anything good I said about it. It was a colossal waste of money. I live with my girlfriend now and she has a Dyson V11. I know I spoke ill of Dyson in my last comment, but the last Dyson I bought was back in 2008. She bought the cordless V11, and it is an absolute beast of a vacuum. I don't have my husky anymore, but we do have two messy cats that shed. It picks up everything, it's so nice not having to plug it into the wall. It also has different levels of intensity and a smart sensor for detecting what kind of surface it is on, and also disassembles to clean the stairs easy. It also doesn't have any stupid rubber hoses like the older Dyson's, or areas where seals can break easy. It's a very simplified and compact unit, truly the future of vacuums (to me). It's very expensive, but a great investment for a pet owner.
      I feel like you kinda get what you pay for with this things when it comes to vacuums. I've boughten cheapy Bissell steam cleaners as well, I went through two of those now in the past few years. I've really changed my stance on this. Part of me, vacuums feel like kind of a boring thing to spend so much money on (vs. like, a playstation or something lol). But they're also a necessity to life, especially with pets and people with kids. Time is money as well, and I 'd also rather spend time doing things I love vs. vacuuming. These more expensive vacuums are a lot more convenient and faster. Over a lifetime of daily vacuuming, you could easily spend over a year of your life running a vacuum cleaner when using only cheap vacuums. It's pretty crazy thinking about it in that perspective.

    wish that you show us the filter on every vacuum after you vacuum fine dust-like sand so we can see how good are the cyclone are. As an example in my opinion Dyson has one of the best cyclones so we don't have to clean the filter that often. It's good to see that you review almost everything except when you finish vacuuming you should show us how filthy the filter is. Hopefully, in your future reviews on every vacuum, you would show us the outcome on the filter. Thank you!

    My wife bought the Pet Hair Eraser. When I used it for the first time it didn't really impress me as I am continually "Electrocuted" by static electricity. As it passes by my leg I get a not so nice shock. That is not the only reason for me not liking this vacuum cleaner, I have 2 dogs each of my boys has another dog 4 total and my wife and daughter have 4 cats between them. I know right? This product requires emptying after each run. I should also say that my carpet is a medium Berber which it doesn't like to get everything from the low spots. I would not recommend buying this unless you need a really inexpensive vacuum cleaner.

    Take the Bissell crosswave, sure its awesome when used as an "electric mop" with water but he never mentions that it sucks as a vacuum and not in a good way. The debris picked up goes directly into the filter like it's on a mission. This is never brought up... I used to enjoy these videos and relied on him to buy my V8 but it seems like he's been bought out like every other review channel.
    I'm returning my crosswave because of this GIGANTIC flaw that he never bothered to mention.

    In this one, it sure sounded like you...sold out! Trying to be nice and not compare the unit to its true competition. am I wrong??? I wouldn't buy this based on that and am a little miffed about your ??? Did they pay you or ?

    A lady traded this in at my store, how and why she paid $300 for this piece of crap, that's worth $150 is a mystery to me. No matter what model it is, these both come in smelling like they got done vacuuming a cow pasture.

    I have this same vacuum model and its terrible. Always getting clogged underneath "not hoses" where you have to unscrew about 8 screws at the bottom of vac, open up and clean. Also very dusty where dust escapes while using. Very dirty vacuum after a couple of uses. Poorly made! I had a small Dirt Devil Stick Vac, about $50 Walmart, that worked so much better than this junk.

    Looks like a cheap vacuum. Call me 'vacuum snob', but no thanks on that one. And at $250, it's not super cheap for a mains powered upright. Give me a little more quality and I'd gladly clean my own brush roll.
