How about a feature for iPhone to recognize spam calls or SMS instead?
Hello, unfortunately I tried it for example with the clap of hands and 2 other sounds and "no sound is recognized...". Will there be any update for that in the future ? 🙏
Bro I'm peeing peacefully and THIS THING SAYS "A sound has been recognized that may be water running" LIKE BRO
I was hoping it was going to let me customise the Homekit doorbell chime on my HomePod. Maybe in the next update.
Never knew abt this feature
You guys are the best

This is weird. So the doorbell goes and I hear it. I think there is somebody at the door. The iPhone also hears it and notifies me there is somebody at the door. But I knew already because I heard it 🤷🏽♀️…….so……… maybe good for deaf people 🤔 but deaf people wouldn’t hear the iPhone notification 😳
the vibration, probably. they could also turn on the setting that makes the flashlight flicker when receiving notifications
Question: can this be taken across to a HomePod mini?

First and nice Apple!
But what is the purpose of it? I need practical examples
One such example is in the article: s.apple.com/dE5O1d3M0u
“Your iPhone can continuously listen for certain sounds-such as a crying baby, doorbell, or siren-and notify you when it recognizes these sounds.”
If you are babysitting and want your phone to listen for crying and then notify you, you can!

Is this an iPhone only feature? Besides for people with needs while it may sound very useless; I do have a question and perhaps if it is not the intend then a suggestion. I have several pods around the rooms of the house could this feature use the microphones of the pod devices, apple watch, iPad, etc. to detect the custom sounds and send the alert to my phone as well. or is it literally just the phone that is able to do this?
Hey there! We’d be happy to provide you with some information to help with answering your questions. The sound recognition feature is available for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. How this works with each device is outlined in the pages below.
