I love audio versions of Silmarillion….I have been trying to read it & fully grasp its totality since 1981….
After listening to the audiobook, I can read it without getting lost now.
I read it every year for 3 years and I can finally sort it out.
Yes I struggled to read it until I discovered this audio … now I read along with audio and keep returning to both … have been into Tolkiens work for many ages … first discovered The Hobbit around 1970 very quickly after that moved onto The Lord Of The Rings … have forgotten how many times I have read them all … kept picking up & putting down Silmarillion over the years until this audio … Martin Shaw does an excellent job of narrating this work
I love The Silmarillion, I wish I had the skills to compose the creation symphony.
