Shannon, you never fail to make me laugh! Great pulls.
Thanks Therese!
now this looks like fun - what a great idea - i will need to watch you again tomorrow and play along - hope i get some good pulls - thanks Shannon xx
Can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Took to school here!! Love 0:51 she's a canon!! Yup! 6:04 & 24:32, magical!! So fun to watch ... we need a SG dictionary: Narfs up, bakes my noodles, divets & nicks (=character), I know I missed a bunch other words and phrases! Purely majestic and thanks!
🤣 Thank you my friend!
Great video Shannon! I will go and watch Cat’s too. Why don’t I ever have the great, original ideas??? Oh well…at least somebody out there is thinking up awesome things for us to do!!!🤣🤣🤣
We’ll get our inspiration wherever we can!
My name is Lori and I am gelli plate challenged lol - and transfers ugh I can't even!! My biggest take away from this is to use black paint, why have i not thought of this-I'm always fussing around and spend so much time choosing paint colors, duh. Thanks Shannon, now I'm going to watch Cat.
Don’t give up!
Eew your paint bottle sneezed 🤧 paint booger’s 😝 😆 😂 then you pulled out to funny great picture pulls and the boogers now I’m done laughing and can watch rest of the show 😂
😂 A little something for everyone!
I think the braver lines if they are minor are part of the beauty of a transfer. It’s not suppose to be perfection.
Absolutely!
Fabulous prints, I did not have much luck last time I tried this but will try again tfs Shannon...Kia Kaha...
Don’t give up, it’s tricky but doable!
Such a fun technique! Thanks for sharing, illwatch Cats too. I believe alot has to do with the ink the magazine uses. Soy is probably best. Also, I'm going to try creating a collage on the desk then turning the gelli plate over, ink side down, onto the collage. Fun! Yeah, how to use these is another thing. I like the idea of making landscape images then journal pages with them.
Love your collage idea!!
Very cool !
Thanks Patricia!
Hello Shannon :) I have seen you do this before, but not the collage style, Absolutely Awesome !! Only problem is you are going to get me in trouble because I am supposed to be getting things done around here and now I am on my way to get out my gelli plate :) tfs, and I hope you have an Outstanding Day :) amy
Ha! You have to act when the inspiration strikes, I get that!
Try pulling with glazes or translucents such as dragonfly, color shift, flash iridescent etc. I’ve also been pulling directly onto tissue or deli paper while black base paint is still a bit wet!
Great idea thanks!
As always, you make me smile and laugh during your videos Shannon! Your prints turned out fantastic too! But who were you mentioning we should watch? I couldn't find any Cat or Kat that I thought you mentioned. TFS!

@@ShannonGreen Thanks!
Wow
Thanks for watching!
Shannon, did you use card stock for pull? Does it matter weight of paper for best results on the pull?
I used 32# computer paper. I don’t think the weight of the paper is as important as the texture…it needs to be super smooth so that it sticks to the plate.
Um, wham bam, thank you ma'am is slang for a quickie.
Yes it is!
I'm still scratching my head over what's the mystery? Is it really in laser printers? But you, Shannon, do not have a laser printer. At least on the table on video. The prints you made are very clear. But how are they obtained? What is the secret anyway?🤔🤔🤔🤨🤨🤨🤕🤕🤕🧐🧐🧐😮😮😮😵💫😵💫😵💫
Honestly…I have no idea how it works! 😂 maybe magazines use laser printers? It’s a mystery to me so I just pretend it’s magic!
@@ShannonGreen It is, in fact, truly magical!
why why why do my pages stick to the Gelli plate???, I love your results, with magazine images, and other ones on other of your videos. But what am I doing wrong? 😕
There are lots of things that can cause sticking, just test each one to find the culprit. It could be your paint if it’s particularly thick or sticky. It could be the amount of paint you’re using, try adding a little more. It could be that your plate is dry. Rub some mineral oil or baby oil on it then wipe off the excess. It might be that you’re leaving the paper on the plate too long. This usually isn’t a problem as long as there’s enough paint on there and your plate isn’t dry or dirty. I’ve also heard that the Speedball brand plates tend have sticking problems. I hope you can get your sticky problem solved!
@@ShannonGreen thank you, this is all very useful. I'll get on experimenting. Mx
