How complicated would it be if I purchased your grade three resources and modified them for grade 2 Alberta curriculum? I love how you have it all laid out and I love the interactive notebook resource you have made but I teach Grade 2 next year.
I haven’t looked into the grade 2 Ela curriculum into too much detail, but I can’t imagine they are vastly different. There is a heavy focus on phonics and phonemic instruction in grade 2 over grade 3, so there’s that piece that you would have to plan for.
Hi Maryann could you , do you have suggestions for teaching second language learners gr4? Do you have a version for the UAE as students do not have similar background knowledge.
Hi there! Teaching second language learners is my current teaching position actually. I don’t have an ESL version sorry. These units would have to be tailored to the local curriculum you have - but I would bet that many of these units (like grammar, phonics, descriptive writing, etc) will still apply to ESL students :)
