In today's video I go over my 5 MUST HAVE math stations for my grade 3 or 4 classroom. I can't imagine teaching math without math stations, let alone these specific ones.

Here's a brief summary of the key points:
Math by Myself: Students work independently at their desks on activities such as worksheets or textbook questions related to previously learned math skills. They can ask for clarification from peers but not answers.
Digital Math: Students use websites like Mathletics and Splash Math to practice math concepts. These digital platforms are helpful for individualized learning.
Math Game: Mariana uses various math games that align with the current or previous math units. Students can play individually, with partners, or in a whole group, depending on the game.
Math Books: Mariana has a bin of math-related storybooks and resources that students can read individually or with peers. These books reinforce math concepts and provide a different perspective on the topic.
Math with the Teacher: This station allows Mariana to work with small groups of students. She sometimes groups struggling students together for extra support. She starts with basic questions and gradually challenges the students based on their performance.
Some additional details:
Mariana's math stations last for 10 minutes each.
She uses a digital timer and a slideshow to manage station transitions.
She has a special helper who assists with resetting the timer and managing station rotations.
For assessment, Mariana uses a simple checklist system, noting correct answers with slashes and mistakes with dashes in a notebook.

I love that you have daily 5 math rather than 3 groups, this is by far more managable! A very helpful video that will help guide me as I start math stations and small group with the teacher. The random accountability is great too - thank you !
Thanks for the comment Lindsay - and I agree - if the students aren't sure when I'll be collecting something, it keeps them accountable the whole time, but reduces my marking workload.
