Sheesh over a millennia and the old dude still kicking ass 😂
It’s all a matter of interpretation with the age of Kratos. I’m of the opinion that his age is never mentioned because time itself is insignificant to an immortal being.
But it becomes significant when it’s confirmed that he becomes more powerful the older he gets.
So we have to figure it out tbh.
I hope the next game, they do a throwback, where you play as old Kratos, like a dream he has within the story.
They should definitely remake the old games with the same story, then some games about his wandering between the Greek and the Norse gods
There are comics canon to the story that takes place after the events of GoW 3. Kratos leaves Greece traveling the world, trying to forget his past, and leaving behind the chaos blades, but no matter how times he leaves them behind, they end up wherever he goes. He ended up in a desert land with ancient egyptians looking people. He didn't stay long and traveled more for years before ending up in the Norse world. It would be very cool to see a game explore that part of Kratos's life.

He spent 80 years with Faye before they had Atreus. Atreus asked Kratos how come he never noticed Faye never aging. Kratos told him when you been alive for centuries, decades only feels like a few years.
That information comes from a book that takes place after the events of Gow 2018. It talks about events that take place before the game, and Atreus's perspective during and a year after the game.

Small gripe but kratos was actually around mid 50's at the end of GOW 3 seeing as based off the official dated timeline he spent 1 year in the service of Ares followed by 10 years in the service of the other gods followed by 13 years as the God of War meaning that we have a set timeline of 24 years starting from his pact with Ares to the end of GOW 3, which if he was 40 that would mean he made his pact at the ripe old age of 16 (which is obviously not the case). Spartan soldiers also were not allowed to leave the Agoge (Spartan training facility) until they were 20 at which point they are kinda sorta pressured into marrying and having children ASAP and assuming that Calliope is around 10 when she's killed that'd make kratos around 30 when he breaks his pact with Ares
Also you say that you assume he is 40 at the end of GOW 3 after which 999 years pass in between games which would make him 1039, but then you say he's 1055 which is more in line with what I stated about him being around mid 50' in GOW 3

Lol this is false, his age was never stated outside of centuries, if he were above 1000 he wouldve said Millennia when talking to Atreus
Here's a real theory:
Can Kratos's beard block any weapon?
Kratos and Chuck Norris once had a fight... Kratos lost because Chuck Norris hides a fist in his beard, and Kratos just has a beard.
Its hard to belive but the math checks out
He looks so good for his age
For those wondering why Kratos decided to have another child after all this time is because the amount of women he got with drained his seed so he had to wait a millennia to restock
His first name is also John
Well he has travelled a lot in different realms too. Hence his age is far beyond that
Think actually 40 is either low or high. But that he is an old man at Ragnarok is a given. But age for a god is not like for a mortal 🤷. But that he has tired bones he shows in the game, but at least.. he has the path to be loved by people by being as he says better. Was a beautiful ending for him actually.
I actually think he is older.
We have 9 games and some more story before the first one (him saving his daughter and beating a champion of the gods).
- He was a soldier, had a daughter (that wasn't that young)
- Became a general
- Won a lot of battles and wars
- Served Ares
- Was imprisoned by the furys until he faced them
- Searched revenge on Ares
- Served the God's for a lot of years
- Became de God of war
- Searched for the truth about his family and his nightmares
- Received Godly powers and destroyed a lot of cities after that
- Was betrayed and went for revenge again
- Destroyed the Greek world
- Tried to run from his past again
- He was walking for so long, that he ended up in the Egypt.
- And keept going until he was in norse mitology
- Started and ended Ragnarok (fimbulwinter)
Bro took his maths digree😂
No wonder he's so much more calm and mellowed out. He's had hundreds of years to come down from his catastrophic rage. 🥶

Kratos stare at Hercules is the Epitome of a Man With Purpose.
That makes sense, the original god of war games took place during the area of classical Greece which was in antiquity and the new god of war games take place during the Viking age which was the early medieval period
Yh but also in GOW 2018 it's established that Kratos' meddling caused Fimbulwinter to state about 300 years earlier.
Helton winter came earlier than expected thou
Kratos was also the god of war in Olympus for many years to the point he had a following worshiping him(so yeah kratos did know what that was like)
Legend says hes still alive and hes eating macdonalds with gunna
Well, kratos confirmed to be present in the Trojan war/the Iliad (or at least he met someone who was there) and that was over 1000 years prior to this proposed date
But remember that in the first game of the Nordic saga Kratos and Atreus were not present in the prophecy that began Ragnarok with the death of Baldr, in fact I think I remember that Mimir tells us that Ragnarok was not expected to happen so less within 100 winters
In the end of GoW 3, you can see him on the throne while time passes and cutscenes show wars going on such as ww2. He’s basically immortal
So you are telling me that I need to be roughly 1055 years old too grow that majestic beard?!
We need a couple games in between GoW 3 and 2018 GoW.
The Norse GOW 2018 takes place 150 years after the end of GOW3
I hope you we get a game of kratos in Egyptian lore
Mannn, to be able to live over 1000 years... I'd love to have that ability. I want to see what humans are like in 100, 500, and 1000 years.
That’s fimbulwinter for ya
Makes sense, he’s still relatively young compared to the other gods. In terms of God age to Human age he’d be a 40 yo man still😂
Time time and...more time😂😂😂
One big one you forget is that in game it is stated by Mimir and Freya noone has entered Tyr's temple as it has remained untouched and buried under water for 150 years(winters) and Tyr is believed to have been captured by Odin before it went under water.
Yet it still had pots from Greece of Kratos doing mayhem. So we know Kratos is older than 150 atleast.
and there were pots that showed reconstruction of greece and a mountain in background kind of destroyed, hinted to be mount Olympus after god of war 3.
So that means Tyr must have visited after god of war 3.
And that it means it might have been atleast 150 years apart from god of war 3 to god of war 2018.
My man has come a long way
But teir is the one that bulled him from Greek to Midgard. And remember tyr in Norse has the ability to travel multiple universes
