I was in 8th class. First thing after reaching home from school was to turn on the Cricket channel.
That WC theme, the song, the video quality, wonderful stadiums and grounds. And my fav batsman Baz smoking fast bowlers by stepping out for sixes. ❤

When I compare it with the current 2019 World Cup opening theme , it's not close. This song was a great choice for 2015 . It doesn't reflect the historic legacy of the World Cup , but in terms of music, it's awesome.

Cannot forget the semifinal heartbreak. I remember when all my classmates basically supported Australia 🇦🇺, and me and my friend were the only India 🇮🇳 supporters. We were on full rivalry mode on game day. After the loss, I cried like a baby. The next day at school after the heartbreak my Aussie friends teased me and I cried like a baby again. This time in front of my teacher and my class. I am now 18.

World cup 2015 was so special Indian team has best player's, it was always a treat to watch. MS dhoni's and Brandan Macullum's captaincy, Bhuvi's , Trent Boult and Michael Starc's great balling, Jadeja's fielding, Kohli's, AB divilliers ,Guptills Raina's batting, also my favourite match was AUS and NZ group batch as both team gave a tough competition could not decide which team is better and yes AB divilliers crying face made every one cried in quater finals ,Guptill's double century was phenomenal India losing to Aus was so much of pain.

2015 world cup really did have a different feeling.
ICC doesnt know how to host the world cup anymore(2022 t20 world cup). Poor crowds in Australia(except India, Pak games), no marketing whatsoever, apparently most of the australians dont even know world cup is going on, rain(although it did make group stages more interesting poor rsa) and no official theme song.
ICC don't pay much attention to t20 world cups sadly
