Agust D is literally talking about everything that is wrong in the world right now. Since hageum is an traditional instrument but also means liberation of prohibition. He is really asking who's on board for the revolution, for the new world, for the new kingdom and to get on board now. So we can fix everything that is broken. This is a masterpiece. The lyrics and wordplay are incredible. This is what rap in my humble opinion should be. A way of making people aware of all the social, economical issues and more. And Suga just did that. Salute.

Deachwita sequel. The King lived. But this time we actually see him die.
They start in the market. The chicken makes an appearance. He dances around like in Deachwita. When he was hanging out the car window it was like in Deachwita but he was on the opposite side of the car.
I was really looking forward to this MV after Yoongi mentioned in a live that we saw the King was shot but we didn’t see him die. He said we would find out later. So I knew there was going to be a sequel.

My comment is only based on what Yoongi told us during one of his lives before the album was announced. He was talking about Deachwita and said basically (paraphrasing) how do you know the King is dead? You saw a shot was fired but you didn’t see the King die. Then Yoongi said we will find out later. He was right we did see him die. That’s how we knew there was going to be a sequel.
I am sure there will be a behind the scenes and he will explain who the two are. So many gems in this one.

I think Agust D with the scar (king) actually did die in daechwita. But did you notice when Agust D without the scar shot the king and the king smiled like he was mocking him? I think that this is a cycle basically. Yoongi is saying that this side of him will always come back in some shape or form.
Like this whole mv is just daechwita but modernized to fit societies problems in todays day and age.
As time changes so does the worlds injustices, hence the “king” will always come back, just in different forms

the lyrics are intense, his message dam* should really wake people up. haegeum being a bowed instrument can create many different sounds of feelings and attitudes just like the message of and for change that suga is saying with his lyrics. the whole album is completely fantastic!!!! 💜
This definitely a sequel to daechawa. It was like watching one of those og martial art gang movies you know. The way suga just ran pounce and killed that guy with chopsticks was brutal but cool. Suga did such amazing job on this mv. We also can't forget the amazing job the background actors did as well. 👀🤯👍👍💜💜💜

What I see is that August D keeps killing the version of himself that gets to the top and power hungry. So in Deawita, the street thug version of him kills the King, then becomes the boss (they shared the scar). In this video the street thug version kills the boss ( the one with the scar became.) It's a cycle. Pretty bad ass.

Every time he is helped by some guy (the executioner, the mafia guy on the phone) who betrays the previous version August D as they have seen how mad and off the rails they have gotten. Suga's greed has always been his fuel to success but he has to metaphorically kill himself once in a while to not be consummed and collared by it and remain human.

I believe this is a continuation of Daechwita because the word haegeum (Korean: 해금) is a traditional Korean string instrument, resembling a vertical fiddle with two strings; derived from the ancient Chinese xiqin. It has a rodlike neck, a hollow wooden soundbox, and two silk strings, and is held vertically on the knee of the performer and played with a bow. It is also popularly known as kkangkkang-i (깡깡이),[1] kkaengkkaeng-i (깽깽이), or aeng-geum (앵금). The instrument was used in the Royal court too. And from the same dynasty as Daechwita, Joseon Dynasty.

In my opinion, Agust D was always the emperor, the bad guy. In this case mafia kingpin. The scar is always the one with the power while the other is carefree and given up on f*cks. He does what he wants when he wants. I think it’s a play of personalities against each other and at a constant war. I loved this video.
