@Samar3n its funny af, all goats do it
its 5 am...and im watching videos of goats faint.
+. I am getting there, its 3
+. omg i'm watching it at 6am!
Gosh watching this at 5am too. This is creepy now
me too, it's 3.53 am and im watching fainting goats...wtf
2 for me
The Brazilian football team took notes watching this.
You're talking about Neymar, right?
@@galegopaulista4564 Could be. I don't really remember the intent behind a joke I made 2 years ago XD
@@galegopaulista4564 Probably referencing the 7-1
For those asking "what if this happened to humans?", it does. Approximately 1 in 40,000 of them. It's a rare neuromuscular disorder called Hyperekplexia (also known as startle syndrome). My son has it and it is not at all funny. It is also caused by a genetic mutation. Not sure what started it in the goats, but it fits the same description as what humans have.
I have the disease too! It's actually 1 in 1,000,00 which is what my doctor said and 1 in 10,000 in Finland
Gosh, never heard of it, must be so debilitating as you can't go anywhere alone, drive, use machinery! Really sad!
Lol..... I’m sorry but I had to laugh
Ooo thts sad. May he get better soon.
Indeed
its 4 in the morning, i need to sleep
Imagine them in the wild,
"Holy shit, here comes a cougar, RUN !"
"..........Shit !"
i think they made that on purpose to save the sheep.
oh my, this is the longest reply ever, 10 years.
@@2061526 Been waiting here the entire time for a reply 😂

Is that suppose to be a defense mechanism? Because I don't think that's a good way to defend themselves...
What the fuck?. 0_0
These Goats prove themselves to be an easy prey.
Don't faint in front of a tiger!.
Morph Verse we don't have tigers in North America.
Awwww so cute! Poor things! I would love to raise some of them on a farm one day :D
WOW he didn't even tell it to roll over! I want a pet like that!
the video response, "Dream by Mark Miley" is GOOOOOD!!!
Aww that was so cute
Goat Tazer
hello there 2011 comment.
Lol it's kind of cute
LOL! I just sent this to a friend as a tutorial for their rolling techniques...
Dammit AVGN, why have you forsaken me?
These little guys are hilarious and adorable. I want one!
this is why they say stupid people are like goats, like what kind of dumb mechanism is this? these things are lucky they're used for meat, because in the wild they'd be a predators dream
It’s a genetic condition, they aren’t necessarily stupid. Fortunately, these goats are only in captivity.
That duck was funny
This is truly hilarious like it is just nonstop amusement
major evolutionary flaw... did we cause this during domestication. i assume they would have been extinct long before domestication if this is not caused by us.
Yeah, not all goats have this though.
People didnor domesticated dodo birds and now they are extinct and if humans didnt use tigers as a pet they should be already extinct.
Plain Bison here in North America should already be extinct if humans didnt get involved in their low population
I love how they just turn into like a rock! I want a fainting goat!
Some of the mutations are recessive and some are dominant. The mutations don't usually die out because the recessive mutations are just that, recessive, and so can travel from generation to generation without being noticed until it meets up with another recessive mutation.
Even the dominant mutations don't usually die out because of partial penetrance, meaning some people just aren't severely affected by it.
Love it!!!! Man that rigers right up & slam!!! lol
Guys, it's a defense mechanism, by 'fainting' and sticking their legs out, it looks not only like they are dead, but that they are bloated and not good to eat. It's actually pretty fucking smart.
I have this disease! Does that mean I was born with a defense mechanism? \_( )_/
Seriously? Those aren't even remotely the same. Do some fucking research.
+sallie sparrow haha yeah that's what I'm saying, it was sarcastic, but they can't help it. Sorry if I offended you somehow.
+sallie sparrow It's best you go do some research, because this has nothing to do with defense, but a genetic defect. And humans can have that genetic defect too.
+Calven Ferraro exactly thank you (:
ajhq got me here
Same XDDD playlist goats
Me to. I saw this on aj
I also got here using goats playlist! Copycat
+Gregory Burley Saaaaaame
I nearly cried at those two cats. This made me cry in laughter.
that is so added to my favs
stupidest evolutionary adaptation ever.
+uncleblunts5 its not an evolution
+Aeten then please enlighten me. exactly what it is?
it's a genetic condition, the guy says it in the video
+Amber Cunningham genetic condition attributed to a whole species? sounds like evolution to me
Not an evolutionary adaptation... Pay attention it is a genetic disorder as mentioned in the video.
Seems Darwin was wrong
actually farmers use these in their herds so the predators catch them and not the sheep or other more valuable prey items
VolCAVRON Luna that doesnt change anything op said
yes it does... he was implying these goats evolve naturally, their mere existence proving darwinian laws wrong (natural selection and such) BUT as I already said they were bred for this purpose, making them a product of artificial selection so... yeah, you can't possibly prove Darwin was wrong with goats nor with anything for that matter xD
i think he meant they wouldve been extinct hundreds if not thousands of years ago, according to darwin. surely they cant survive in the wild. only possible explanation would be if they developed that trait after humans started to breed them in farms, which still wouldnt make sense cause why would they need this trait..
im not saying darwin is wrong, im just stating what it is.
some harmful traits asleep for generations tend to emerge due to high rates of inbreeding and this trait is actually helpful to farmers as I already explained, put these goats on a sheep heard and if wild dogs come, these goats will faint, making them an easier (and less expensive) prey, thus, the farmer does not loose any sheep
and when the music stops... you can FREEZE!
Imagine this happening to a mountain goat standing on a thin edge like they do
at 0:20 he says still goats perfectly and then boom a goat rolls on its back. I Cracked up so bad!
This video is my fav on CZcams it makes my day every time click play !!! ;)
If I had one, I'd put it on rollerskates, imagine that!
This is just too funny!
I have a fainting goat named Adrian. I love opening an umbrella in front of him. Falls right over.
Forget cow-tipping! This looks way more fun!!
that is soooo adorable!
Pure evolution this one.
I just pissed myself laughing!!! LOL!
This is very strange!!!
this makes predators go "WTF im not eatin that shit!"
Poor goats that won’t protect them when there’s a real threat.. :(
Lol,
"-_- it must be poisoned""maybe is a trap from the farmer"
Most adorable
It's 2:24 a.m.! Just learned something new.😌 10.10.21
Only if they fall over particularly hard. The actually process of the muscles locking up is entirely painless.
The older goats learn to lean against walls or trees, so they don't experience any pain falling over.
My dog used to do something like that when he got cancer. I think it was a petit mal seizure. It was triggered by eating dog treats with spirulina greens in it and flashing lights.
Stop, drop, and roll my friend, stop drop n' roll.
I thought that was a bunny. XD
now we just need to see it taking a dust bath.
this is awesome :D
at least they're easy to catch...
me: WHOA!!!
*entire herd faints*
*i pick up what i want and walk back*
These would make excellent trestle tables.
R.I.P.
I agree wholeheartedly uncleblunts
@JacCasper
*BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP*
*they all fall down at once*
bring me with you! XD
Goddamnit. Made me lol in the middle of the night.
You know what fucks me up? How is this a good defense mechanism?! They're like... offering themselves to potential predators hahahaha
0:18 DO A BARELL ROLL!
I own a fainting goat, i love chasing him around my yard haha
ok i would love to have these guys
That's the most awesome defense system EVER!!
OOOH grass! *faints. I forgot how to goat...
LOLOLOLOL
was not expecting that
Omg I need to show my dad this
lmfao thanks god u made my day:D
Turtle's have shells, porcupines have quills, goats trip.
i think im gonna show that to my brother, i always pick on him tellin him that he like goats. now he has something to like!
my dad was talking about them earlier today :)
i just remembered , my dad once caught a pidgin , and he did something to its head and it fainted , i was like ... ?? what ? then he did something again to its head and it flew away , cool dad huh>? :P
they're so cute i wanna keep them as pets lol
The best kind of goats!
Ahhhhhhhhh. need to be cheered up

The goats look so cute!!! Roll like a dog~
lol, armor lock :D
...Yes.
I was watching some exorcism and stumbled upon this?! LOL This really helps ease my mind.
just saw contagion and seeing this kinda freaked me out at 1st...
Wow, so much for the theory of evolution.
STOP, DROP, and ROLL! he musta thought he was on fire.
i saw this on mythbusters.they said they had some thing that when they get scared their leg muscles tighten and they usualy fall down so when the "faint" they are still concious.
WOW! Lol Easy meals for wolfs but the wolfs might look at it like "wtf?"
@JacCasper lmao!
they're just like my friend daphne!
They were purposely bred this way. It probably started with a random genetic anomaly but people found that keeping an expendable goat around works out well for the rest of the herd; the fainting goat gets eaten by the predator and all the others escape unharmed.
They look sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute!!!!
they should make fainting elephants! LOL
I watch this when i'm sad.
I can't help but laugh! :D
I burst out laughing at 0:18
ilovegoats! they have so much talent
the first goat that drops is the best
Hey... AVGN tell you search it on Google not CZcams
What a great defense mechanism.
thumbs up for the description
and I always thought that only the strongest survive ...
i want one of these
lol it reminds me of the movie "The Men Who Stare at Goats" lol
