Do you need actual printed color photographs or can it be digital on a thumb drive?

How salvage title says rebuildable?
Nice video!!! I have to go turn in my paperwork. Just have the curtain airbag to replace.
Thanks, best of luck with the process!
This is so helpful! I’m about to start the same process with my 1984 Nissan zx !!
Glad you found it useful! The general steps tend to be more or less universal.
Howd it go im in the same boat and i have no idea what to do, i have the slavage title and repairs done
Do you have a link to that checklist?
I live in Orlando I hope mine pulls through next month I miss driving my firebird, it was just hit from the back, knocked the bumper off that was it they talking about it was a TL I said kiss my ass an kept it
Howd it go man!
@@TopSecretZ still didn't go unfortunately, I will try to get it done an make a video about it before this year ends
@LifeWithJay22 hell yeah thank you! I'm trying to get my honda prelude back on the road so I'm Definitely need some guidance!
How did it go
Hey guys, great video! Thank you! I have a question about the physical inspection. I am wondering what that is all about. Is it only checking road worthiness, and safety items?
What I mean is, if I had parts replaced (no airbags deployed), but did not have the paintwork done, or still have dents in the fender or doors, will that fail? I have a 2016 Audi A4 Premium Plus, and it drives amazing. But, I still have not finished getting cosmetics done on some portions of the vehicle.
Do I need to have it 100% finished? Or will it pass as long as it drives well, has all lights, blinkers, solid wheels, tires, seat belts, etc. And all airbags are still 100% operational? Thank you for any insight you can provide!
Did you ever find an answer?
Did you passed your inspection without having your car 100 % painted?
Yes it can pass I just pass today without fixing the dent on my side door but the rest of the car is good they pass it
Question..do they check dashboard lights. All I had to replace was drivers side mirror that was knocked off during the wreck. But now a light in the dash has come. Just wondering if this is checked during inspection.
Thank you.
Damn I'm thinking of buying back my 2013 passat from the insurance but this looks like a headache just to get a rebuilt title.
None of these rebuilt titles mentions anything about getting insurance before the rebuild title
How’s it work on a RV camper that’s pulled by a truck?
You can't. I am finding you need to tow the car to inspection because it isn't legal to drive on the road
where can I get that checklist and the contact info for the office in Tampa?
My car there only little fender bender is it very hard to get rebuilt title?
What are they looking for during the inspection. If I had some welds done on a bracket can I go ahead and put primer over the fresh beads before they start rusting ? Nice job on your post . .
The crazy part is that from the conversation I had with the DMV lady, it seems all they care for is the source of the replacement parts. They seem to be trying to curtail stolen body parts... but only relying on a receipt is not exactly secure at all... I guess it only makes sense to the government.
where did you guys get all your forms from ?
Hi do they check if any warning lights are on?
You guys have that female magnetism that’s why it passed 😂 Thanks for the vid !
I moved here from New Mexico with a car that with a salvage title. It was rebuilt in New Mexico, registered, insured and on the road for 5 years. I had no idea I was going to have to go through this process to get a Florida title. I have been down there 3 times already (same field office.) Their website has no information. I can't get a real person on the phone. Their hours say they're open until 5pm but when you get there, they are only taking paperwork until 3pm. They don't have the right forms online but then want you to wait 1.5 hours to get called up only to be handed an application and told to come back another day and wait hours to turn it into them, in the hopes everything is right and you won't have to come an unknown number more times. What they say they need is not what they ask you for, or they add details. I bought my car rebuilt so I don't know if after all of this they will actually give it a title, since I don't have receipts. I didn't need any of this is New Mexico. I can see why they get yelled at- this entire process makes no sense and requires more time and travel than most people invest in buying a home. I would have left my car in NM if I had any idea what I would go through here.
Jesus I can't believe you're going through all that. You're right though ...That office is a total mess.I feel like it was just dumb luck that I was able to call and get a hold of someone though. I am so sorry for that ordeal!
Hey, could you please share your experience on how it all ended? I think I'm going to be moving to FL from CA in a few months, and the same as you, have titled/registered/insured vehicle in California, but branded "salvaged" in my title, what basically mean it's was revived in my state. And the worst part is that I don't have any pics of the damage or part receipts.
Can you repair it yourself or does the work have to be done by a shop. I have fixed this same car twice when my sister hit the frond end. Same type of damage now but was hit by somebody else and the guy at fault insurance will declare it a total loss if we go ahead with the claim. Also we have owned the car since brand new (well dad has it's his car). Car has no frame damage...and was driveable from the accident to our house....
Do you get a new title after the inspection?
Where is this title place in central Fl, I cant find it for the life of me.
I'm in Poinciana, there's one regional rebuilt inspection facility in Orlando, 4101 Clarcona-Ocoee Road. Next closest is Tampa, 5701 E. Hillsborough Ave.
Edward D appreciate you Edward
Can you share the inspection office address? Please
What if you don’t have salvage yard receipts? I literally got my shit off Facebook marketplace :/ fuck bro
Howd things go?
Hey thanks for the video. I’m thinking about buying back my Toyota sienna minivan from the insurance company so that’s why I watched your video. I have a few questions for you. I’m not sure of the circumstances that you had with your car. Will they allow you to drive your car to the DMV to get it inspected once all the paperwork goes through or do you need to get it towed there? What type of title did you have? Was it a rebuildable title? Any thing else you can think of would be greatly appreciated. I can tell it’s going to be a pain in the butt if I do this but I think I can get another hundred thousand miles out of it so I think it’s worth it. Thanks again, Joe
What do the exactly inspec, cause I'll do the same but I don't now if it's necessary to fix de Air Bag System, everything I done just that light that is On
Did you end up having to do the airbag system ?
Same boat here
That same inspection office is the same one I use. I’m lucky I only live two miles away from there. I did an inspection in AZ and passed after buying my car from Copart the car I bought was side swiped, but none of the electrical was touched. So much easier than here in Florida 🤬.
Its been really cool reading about other states salvage process. AZ sounds like a dream. We bought the car in Alabama and from reading their regulations, you could only have a certified salvage operator is the only one that can rebuild a car in order to be re-titled. It was crazy. I guess Florida is not quite at AZ level, but I guess we have no choice but to live with it.
The Build Bros.
It’s a simple process and easy passing a salvage inspection in my state, If the vehicle is road worthy and you have receipts of all the parts that’s been replaced you’re good to go.
Amen
Wow! What a headache. When you buy a salvage car over 5 years old in NC it's automatically rebuilt. Jeez.
Really? That's the best news we've heard in a while. I think we need a NC address now!
