  • Become a packing expert and avoid a last minute crisis by following this strategic step-by-step guide on how to pack with stylish suitcase brand Tumi.
MR PORTER meets Mr Jerome Griffith, CEO of Tumi Travel in this short guide to packing for all travel occasions. Use these simple tips and tricks to help streamline your packing process.
    Steps:
    1. Choose it. A carry on case will do for a short business trip and a holdall is all you need for a weekend break.
    2. Check it. Lay out all the clothes you'll need and fold everything up as neatly as you can.
    3. Pack it. Place shoes in the gaps of the runners inside the suitcase and pack sturdier items such as denim at the bottom while shirts should stay on top. Leave larger items such as blazers till last.
    4. Don't forget it. Take stock of the essentials and pack an umbrella, toiletries, electronic devices and something to read on the flight. Keep your essentials on you, such passport, money, phone and a tablet to do some last minute online shopping.
    6. And if they lose it. Be prepared for the worst and pack an emergency change of clothes in a cabin sized suitcase - just in case. Bon voyage!

The emergency change of clothes in your carry-on bag is an excellent idea. I've never considered that, as I always fly light enough to not check luggage, but I will keep it in mind if I'm ever going on a long-term trip.

I have a Tumi carry on and a Tumi suitcase/weekend bag that I use for every type of travel (weekend, vacation, international). Even if I have to cram it full, I don’t like sending my luggage through the airline handlers, especially if it’s going overseas.

I think if you can afford £1k for a TUMI bag - you can afford £40 for an emergency shirt ... Besides, you packing ONE pair of socks, underwear and jeans ... I think you may need more if you wait 'a few days' ;) Anyway, love TUMI myself - got a backpack, duffle, carry on and checked luggage .. Worth the price in the long run ...

Rupert N Oh, so being a pompous entitled bigot is another prerequisite to be considered a worthy commentator on Mr. Porter videos?
The snobbery oozing out of your passive aggressive comment epitomizes the typical "high quality" consumer.
First off regardless of Mr. Porter's marketing scheme their goal is to turn a profit.
Purchase cheap clothes manufactured in a impoverished nation, labeling them with some exotic sounding name and charging hundreds to thousands of dollars doesn't mean your clothes are of "high quality".
When are you thickheaded idiots going to understand that????
Also buying these "high price(d)" items to impress other pretentious snobs doesn't suggest you are some special patron of quality fashion. If anything you are one of the biggest suckers on the planet, you allow yourself to be manipulated at the expense of your own wallet.
Lastly I'm not going to discuss money but I do very well for myself. Stop making assumptions fucking dumbass!!!!!!
