Most people think Jose Cuervo when they say Tequila, however I do not know one Mexican that actually drinks it lol. My Mexican side of the family drinks Patron, Hornitos, Cabrito, la Herradura, Don Julio, and others. Don Julio being the best in my opinion. So fun watching them try these though! I literally don’t even flinch now after so many years drinking the stuff, it’s refreshing to see them struggle with the burn 😂😂😂

I know if someone only had lemons I'd tell them to put them away and just drink the tequila straight

@@bakasecsgod5904 no, you don’t spend that much in a bottle to “down it”, taking shots is not downing it however, that’s how you really get the different taste of them, if you spend that much in a bottle to not even know what it tastes like at the end because you took tiny little sips the whole time and only got to feel the alcohol in your tongue, then that’s a waste.

@@jblubber7037 definitely lime but it may not be available to them. I'm glad they had a citrus fruit to chase tho thats accurate. Also the translation for lime sounds like lemon in English so they may just assume it's the same
Here in Spain we drink tequila. 1st put salt in your hand, lick it, drink tequila then lemon.

I love Mexico, my neighbor, and their lovely tequila. Tequila is my favorite alcohol. I can't wait to visit Mexico one day. My boyfriend's grandparents are moving there in a few years.

HeeJin and MinJi are perfect together. They literally are so alike and different too. They are champs always looking to drink and they kept drinking afterwards 😂 6+ shots of tequila especially when they are used to lower percentage like soju. Give them props especially not having snacks to go with it. I guess they told them to eat something before coming. But they are the type that you want to hang out with. Mezcal is objectively better for agave lovers which most people actually arent. Its too smokey and has a chemical-ish taste to it that makes it inaccessible to most people. Even in mixed drinks ive let friends sip they struggle with it, but i do love me a solid tia mia or naked and famous. Shoutout to Banhez mezcal.
This is what I was thinking. When I go to bars that have a lot of Mexican spirits, I usually get into the mezcal. If tequila is relatively unfamiliar to Koreans, mezcal must be practically unknown. I wonder if a decent selection is available there. If so, they should give it a try. There is nothing else quite like it.

I’m an agave lover and I personally prefer the smoky flavor of mezcal. My favorite sipping mezcal is Montelobos espadin joven. It has a smoky citrus flavor with some orange slices and sal de guzano. It does NOT have that chinche after taste you find in many others and the smoke isn’t over powering.
For the 2020 Covid life, I had 27 bottles. Depending on where you find it, it’s usually $38-$42.

I’m from El Paso Texas the border city and Im Hispanic so it nice to see people of different cultures try tequila, like my grandma says if your sick with a Cough take a shot of tequila!

ah yes, Jose Cuervo. The entry level for most Americans into tequila, and likely what made them swear off tequila. Even though I hear its not technically a tequila. Also the difference between blanco, reposado, and anejo is maturation in the cask, not color.
Limes must be quite hard to come by or expensive in Korea, i dont recall lemons being the citrus of choice with tequila.
Yea lime is rare in South Korea, even if they do have it, likely very expensive
Fun Fact! The intended way to enjoy patron reposado is actually to take a shot and then have an orange slice dipped in cinnamon~ That's why the sticker on top is orange so I recommend trying it out if you have the chance! It totally compliments the flavor!

In the US and in every place I've gone in Mexico, you do a lick of salt before the shot then a wedge of lime after the shot. I know in some places they do lemon after the shot but always the salt before.
You need tequila that is actually good. Tres Generaciones, Sauza Reposado, Herradura Reposado. Etc.

Yes, we pronounce it Meh-hi-co, by English pronunciation standards. X has multiple possible pronunciations and a soft ‘H’ sound is one of them. There’s S, KS and what for us would be J and H for English speakers. Foe example, Oaxaca would actually be pronounced Oh-ah-ha-ca.
As a Mexican that comes from Jalisco (that's where they make tequila) this warmed my heart. I ha e all of these in my liquor cabinet. Lol

Here in Texas a lot of people make a drink called “ranch water” which is tequila, seltzer, lime juice, and sometimes agave or honey (in addition to margaritas, palomas, and other standard tequila drinks)

They should have tried good tequila like Herradura Reposado, and also the way we drink it, isn't always in shots. We often combine them with soft drinks like Cola and Cider (black and white knight) and with nuts as a snack.

Tequila normally is drink with side-dishes too (la botana). Only outside of México people think this is drink solo... Maybe because of the influence of movies and tv dramas with drinking at a cantina scenes.
