Fun fact for those that don't know, Canach was voiced by John Dimaggio for most of his appearances, changing to Matthew Mercer as of the Icebrood Saga DRM.
DiMaggio made a really good Canach and a very good Joker.
If they retcon Braham from being a Norn, to a ‘human trying to be a Norn when he grows up one day’ I’ll accept him as a character 🤣

You know what character truly didn't deserve the hate? Trahearne.

when did Trahearne recive hate? he (and Caithe) are my favorite from the personal story and I was really sad when he died.

"I mean, it is not like we have deliberately shown the reasoning behind that decision in game..." Also being second in command is like this preparation period for becoming the actual leader later on. I mean, if it was all about player, everyone would bitch about generic storyline, when there is this "second in command learning the ropes of being de facto leader after gaining experience" people hate on Trahearne. This is weird.
@@tombocai A lot of people were salty that Trahearne basically "stole the limelight" from the commander, and he was the one to get Caladbolg and he was the one to cleanse Orr. It was too many folks with the "chosen one" syndrome I guess.
Damn, i'm still at the point where Braham did nothing bad, i should probably finally finish the storyline and see it for myself. lol

I don't think I would dislike/hate Braham as much if I'd had a chance to vent my frustration. Like... if I'd been allowed to punch him in the face before accepting him back and him acknowledging that he deserved it. Had that been a thing I... might be slightly less mad? Like I rant about Braham all the time with him going on about what his mom would have wanted when he literally never spoke to her and all my Norn characters were friends with Eir for years. Like... excuse me! Mr. Mommy-issues doesn't get to lecture me about the mom he never talked to but who was my friend! And then the stupidity of loosing that bow after getting drunk with someone he just met while on a diplomatic mission?! Ugh! Anet, can we please get another Norn story character who's more cool and likeable (and important) so we can ditch Braham? Pretty please?
I absolutely agree with the venting part. Like when we mentioned how we wanted to make a new guild in the Bitterfrost Frontier instance and he was all mad that everything we did was more important and always right, I wanted to let him fight the ice elemental alone and watch him get mauled to death while begging for our help.

Funnily enough, I recently switched my Games Audio Language to English because I made an Asura and I love the "Accelerated!" and "Infuriated!" and "I feel... six feet tall!" and also the "For the record... you've been struck!" Things (also the "Rebound!" from other characters), but then I replayed HoT and I switched back to German because Canachs german voice is absolutely magnificent. He sounds 160% Like the smug Saladhead he is and I am absolutely here for it.
"Pain... EVERYWHERE" sounds so dramatic and I love my Asura engi for it

After playing the story for the first time i hated braham from the start
I've done the story like 5 times now, and I still hate him... I mean, he is doing more damage than the actual villains on the game
LordHizen made a pretty acurate video about how everyone is capable of playing scourge, but for Braham he had to faceroll the keyboard.
You know that thing that makes people get angry at villians? When they keep getting away easily and without repercussions, it's even worse when they make mistakes or get outsmarted but still no they get away with it.
Now replace "villian" with Braham.

Braham is the type of guy who complains and whines, guilt trips you into keeping him in the team and then causes the whole team to die while sitting around not rezzing anyone.
In retrospect I should have realized the reason you kept wiping was because of Braham.

I mean he is supposed to be unlikable. He is an edgy teenager that is hounded by his mothers fame. He is not dealing with his emotions as he should and is lashing out at people around him.

Specifically CM100 without Firebrand, Scourge or Revenant~
Like ... talking about other options and showing video footage you guys actually doing the mechanics on different comps and completing the stuff.
There are several topics I can come up to talk about:
-Aegis and Stability and can you do the CM100 without them?
-Role compression why people don't take it to the extreme chrono and is it really so necessary?
-Power dps only as CM100 is easier with condi dps.
-Different healers like Tempest, Druid, Scrapper, Scourge and Revenatn over Firebrand
-Can you do CM100 with Power only no following boons Stability, Aegis, Alac or Quickness. Might is fine as well protection.
The ultimate showoff of both skill and meta would be to do CM100 with team comp that is full power dps with Tempest as only boon option (Earth/Water/Tempest so you have easy 40% protection without fury and swifness)
I tried to find Fractal cm100 without Firebrand and on third day I only found 1 video and that was Revenant soloing the cm100 all by themself from MightyTeabot :D

How can anyone say Braham is attractive? He literally looks like Tyler1.
I've learned to forgive Braham; he did terrible things but he attoned his sins and has been trying to do the right things since he apologized. Still dont like him, i dont hate him either, but i think he doesnt deserve the hate he gets.
In the other hand, it could be that in IBS we were introduced to a far more disgusting character, Ryland, a different type of teenage angst but came across worse than Braham to me in shorter time.

Ryland is well written, in fact is the only thing IBS did well out of its entirety. His story is good. We wanted to murder Caithe for much less then Braham has gotten away with, there is no writing consistency there

I like Braham. My main commander is a Dragonhunter Charr and considering the hassle I've gone through the story and the Living World seasons, I've gone from "finding him annoying" to "I'm adopting this boy, faults and all. There will be less explosions that way, and he could use a big sister after what he's lost." I mean, look at PALAWA IGNACIOUS JOKO: Did a lot of horrible things, and yet I'm here going "Praise Joko!" because I enjoy his personality. That's just how I learned to enjoy the Young Buck Norn X'D
For me, I can't enjoy characters that seem like they were inserted for convenience; doesn't matter if they contributed anything bad or good to the plot, just they're 'there' and are inserted for when the plot needs to be moved forward. It's why I'm one of the few who don't particularly like Kasmeer and Marjory.

Brahan is such a bad character and he doesn't even fit as a Norn. He don't follow any of the spirit guides. He doesn't follow Raven since he's dumb as a brick, not Bear since he injure himself a lot, not Snow Leopard since he knows nothing about stealth and just charges in, and definitely not Wolf. When's the last time we saw him transform to one of the spirit beast form, anyway? I'm starting to think that he's not even a Norn, nor Eir's son, but Eir simply adopted him. I am thankful that there is no longer any reason tp progress a story involving him. He was never needed.

He does so in IBS, your character gets wounded pretty badly and he finally transforms and shreds some of the bad guys to bits.
