Aaron I think the song is telling the tale of a single lonely flower trying to grow and bloom in a barren, frozen land. It waits for the sun to shine to give it strength, warmth and grow against all odds. I think it is basically a metaphor for persevering, overcoming something when all the odds are stacked against you. Very inspiring and uplifting. I think of the little flower struggling away every time I hear this song. I love how the instrumentals create the atmosphere and set the scene. It is easy to imagine it. A true masterpiece.
Now you say it like that I wonder if they're telling their own story in kpop. Not trying to shadow other groups but since they are different from any of them, they're trying to constantly prove themselves and earn their place, idk 🤷♀️

This is honestly one of my favourite b-sides. I don't know how to explain it but the song somehow creates such a delicate, yet at the same time so powerful atmosphere. And the meaning of the lyrics really adds to this feel imo. After the pandemic I'm definitely going to get a tattoo and I think it'll be these lyrics from 'In The Frozen':

You won't be able to watch the VoDs yet, by the way. They need to be reviewed by the Korean Media Board before they can edit and post them. For previous DC concerts, that's taken somewhere around a month, maybe a bit more (so they should be available pretty soon), at which point they usually host the VoDs for 90 days before removing them. I predict that the Utopia concert should be okay for them to post unedited, but they'll almost certainly have removed the three unit performances from the Dystopia concert; that's happened every time they've done covers so far...

4:36 It initially sounds like her voice is doubled, which they do a lot, but the melody is very slightly different. It might still be Gahyeon, but I suspect it's probably Siyeon providing the harmony vocals, not just for Gahyeon, but the whole song. She's credited as Chorus on basically the entire album, and I'm 99% certain that's what that refers to... I actually love focusing on those backing vocals sometimes, just to listen to what she's done to compliment the main track...
5:30 Yeah, the instrumental's completely different; the album version is very heavy on the synths and digital beats for that EDM kind of feel, while the live version, while it _did_ also focus on keys, had much more bass guitar and actual drums.

It does sound pretty cyberpunky, but not sure if it would suit the mini album well. It might, but I'm so used to the idea of In the frozen being in TTOL that I'm not sure I could ever imagine it elsewhere.
To be perfectly honest though, I'm not surprised about how different you found the song to the concert one (which you don't even remember 😂). Even title tracks with a live band sound pretty different to me, so if it was a song I'd never heard before, and an EDM one at that too, I would have never recognized it either.

I was not reacted much when ppl said EDM is a meh but when DC released this song, now i'm going to fight every of them. Especially if they're still thinking the same after listening to this masterpiece.
I, honestly said, I don't like and still don't like EDM music, it's a genre that is not for me. But with the Dreamcatcher it's different, I really like their EDM songs, listen to them I don't know how many times 😂👍 it's really not saying this biased as old InSomnias since their debut 😋👍 but from a simple person who still doesn't like EDM, but who can do nothing but applause to Leez and Ollounder for having created all this is composed 👏☺

you are too hard on their rock songs perhaps by comparing it to the metal you listen to. rock doesn't have to be hard and in a way even though they use rock instrumentation, it's not really rock. using rock/metal instrumentation to create melodies that go along with their voices is extremely unique.
